Hello everyone and welcome to: The ten minute video observation challenge This is a game (of intense observational skill similar to the Krypton factor) where a film from youtube etc. is posted and the person posting it then asks a maximum of five questions relating to what happened during the video. The type of video content is entirely (within obvious boundaries) up to the individual posting the question. So it could be for example political, lifestyle related (rope demonstrations etc.), entertainment, bizarre cultist sermon, whatever. Here are the specific rule for technocrats: 1) The video hereon referred to as ‘the video’ must be of maximum ten minutes long and minimum two minutes long. 2) Questions asked must be factual based on content within the video alone and not opinions based e.g. What was the colour of the car in the background? What did an interviewee say in response to this question? How many times did the person in the film say this word etc. And Not: Is he right when he says the earth orbits the sun? 3) Each post where a new video is posted must contain a brief description of the video contents and the video length (to act as warning for potential viewer) and be followed by 1-5 observational questions related to the video (format in first post below). 4) The first person to post the correct answer (as judged by the question’s author) posts their question next. 5) Video content doesn’t have to come from youtube but question authors must endeavour to find sources freely available to everyone. 6) Please take any discussion of the videos themselves (in terms of technical accuracy, political view or personal opinion) to a new thread in the relevant section of the boards. 7) Any posts discussing the rules should reiterate the current question at the end. Here are some additional rules for conflict resolution: 8) Don’t read rules numbered 8-11 below unless a technical conflict between two or more individuals arises. 9) The content of some videos may only be viewable from certain locations. If such a video is used and a subsequent post highlights this to the author of the question (immediately following the authors post) then an alternative question must be found. The author should find an alternative within say: one day of the post bringing the issue to the authors attention, or the first person highlighting the problem gets to post an alternative. If other people have posted answers before the video has been highlighted as non-viewable then the person raising the complaint has to unfortunately accept that they may not participate for this particular question. 10) If answers have been given to a question but the author of the question has not replied within a reasonable time (say seven days) of the initial answer given, then a new question may be posted by anyone. 11) If the correct answers have not been given within a reasonable time (say seven days), then the author of the question must reveal the answers and choose a successor to make a new question using a new video. The person chosen should be based on who the author felt made the most accurate reply to the question first. 12) For all other scenarios the will of the majority rules. I can’t act as adjudicator or enforce these rules and so following the spirit of these rules is the main aim. Right now after reading all that crap above let us get cracking: Summary: Film of journalist highlighting the madness of section 44 of the anti people act. I find this to be one of the funniest films I’ve seen in a while but it’s actually quite serious and surprising how we’ve got to this state so quickly, worrying for where we are heading. Time: 9:58 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAY3nqv_JKE 1) What is the person using to film the video footage? 2) Which police region is the first plain clothes officer that responds from? 3) Is he allowed to film the top of the building? 4) How many police officers wasted their time responding to this in total? Kind Regards, Q.
