I don't do the whole trust issue. I just take them for who they are. I know that they will let others down, they will do things that may upset others, etc..

I expect them to be human beings with frailties, egos, problems, imperfections.

Yes! This is exactly the point I was getting at.

I regard trusting someone I don't know as a full glass situation.

Sometimes the glass stays full forever.
Sometimes the glass is shattered rapidly -

but, it always starts full.

I'm new to the BDSM lifestyle and have little experience, but I have to agree will kiwisub12. Personally, i assumed it was a naivity based on my inexperience, but until a person shows a reason to not deserve trust, i have no reason to prejudice them in any way. Granted though, after the first conversation with a person, their education and demeanor can be looked at to an extent, and the extent of the trust deserved can be gauged.

My appologies for randomly inserting myself to the conversation. I hope no one will take offense. *heh*

Sometimes, typing speed has nothing to do with it.  You luck into those situations where someone has saved you the keystrokes.

Trust comes from having a sufficient history with the other person, seeing that they do what they promised, that their word is their bond. It is earned in increments.

Does he show up for the first meet 20 minutes late with no phone call? No trust earned.
Does he get there a few minutes ahead so as to be where he said he would be? Small amount of trust earned.
Does he call when he says he will? More trust earned. And so on.

You prove yourself trustworthy by keeping your word. It really is that simple.

I don't have kinks.

I'm not finding your suggestions very helpful; thanks anyway.

Perhaps I wasn't clear; no operation.

I enjoy being an exotic pet; why would I want to trade it for being a piece of flooring?
