Thing 2, after talking to you on the phone tonight, said she was thrilled for you.  I told her that my wish for her was to marry a good man who would always care for and help her.  She asked me, "Do you think that [Kali's guy] will be that way for Miss [Kali]?"  I smiled and told her, "Doll baby, he already is... all that and more."

Tonight is Kali's night!  We gotta get her wed (she hasn't written me back with details yet!  How can I create an Excel spreadsheet with no details???), and then we can work on it in say, about two years?

* looked at rings
* bought ring
* got ring sized
* she was asked
* she replied in the affirmative
* her friends, incl. Thing 2, have wished her well... some have cried happy tears
* she and her Sir may very well be "celebrating" right now 

Those are the up to the minute details, as best as I can determine.
