It's nice to have confirmed what I already knew. There is always around one third or 33% conservatives you can count on to be on the right in any poll. Lot of this is a result of the image mostly liberal media has created about Bush. The economic parameters listed did not make any jumps during Bush years. The US living standard was held relatively steady by creating the asset bubbles and with deficit spending. The median hourly wage have been in relatively steady (and shamefully slow) increase since 1973 increasing from $13 to 14.5 in 2007. Personal savings have decreased also on constant rate since about 1982. So, economically Bush was not a disaster. He was just a continuation of his predecessors (Reagan, Bush senior, Clinton). Of course, his Iraq war effort over weights Clinton and is next worst to Vietnam.

That's quite an interesting comparison. Clinton's invasion of Iraq does seem to have been a lot more successful than the chimp's, doesn't it?

Addendum to "Wisdom gained as of 2009 AD" : 11. Everything is the worst it's ever been. We are probably hear similar reports after Obama's term. This is the way it is. And no matter how you slice it, things are not going to really get better without making a big fucking mess. I swear if I were President I would give it one hell of a try. And I know that means no public appearances and my own security, actually between me and the secret service. No sane Man with his life together well enough to attain the office of President would go against the PTB, that's why you need someone like me. I don't know about you but I just don't expect that kind of mettle from a politician. So OK, the agenda was the agenda and Bush followed it. I could've done a hellofalot better job schmoozing it over for the people though. He counted on too much flagwaving because he is so isolated from the commoners. Give me that big chair and the right to lie ad nauseum and I'd have people enlisting in droves, if I were willing to do such a thing. I expected very little with this supposed regime change, and that's pretty much what I got. One good thing, almost anyway, is in some of the notices from creditors. It seems there are a few new rules for them. Good. Other than that I have seen nothing so far. T

We are all good at hindsight, 8 years of faulty leadership and now we can look over our shoulders and see it.... where was everyone in 2004 when it was just as obvious?

Well at least Bush gave mom and gram a COLA! Unlike the figurehead in there now. I thought bush was the worst president of all time. I had many transaltantic phone calls over it. Now we see Obama is Bushes 3rd term= and the next guy will be even worse.

If there haven't been any other polls of preformed to he end of other decades to compare this too until such time this has no real meaning.

I think he is saying there are no other similar polls conducted at the end of each decade to compare this one with. So in other words: when an opposition party is elected is it the norm for public opinion to be against the previous administration. In fairness this was a bad decade when the decade started probably most of it was associated with bush but it wasn't going to be a nice decade considering events that occurred.
