I love "Slave Lover" too, OP! [:D]
Its great to see some hardcore BDSM fiction that explores both the femdom point of view and the malesub's... Its a love story that has plenty of yummy, hot, nasty D/s sex, and a compelling plot.
I love it because you really get to see the young heroine, Iris, come into her own as she matures as a dom, and as a woman... Not just the corresponding changes that the slaveboy Zero goes through.
Its nice to see the female lead represented as a whole, multi-faceted person, instead of the stereoptypical cardboard-domme representation that plagues so much of the femdom media we see today.
And the slaveboy Zero is rendered as a whole person, as well- but the story doesn't get bogged down in details. If Zero didn't have plenty of humiliating, invasive use and objectification perpetrated on him, I'd have lost interest right away! My major D/s needs center on control, humiliation and objectification. Its great how this novel caters so shamelessly to my kinks, while still relying on an actual plot, to carry the story forward. Its a terribly romantic love story!
