Belated Seasons Greetings to everyone..

My holidays are over before they even had the chance to get off the ground.. have had to abandon the project with the homeless and I'm ill..

If I can have one wish it's for people to settle their differences.. By way of perspective I was at a centre for 200 people who have nowhere to live, nowhere to sleep, it's freezing cold outside here in London right now, and everyone was getting along fine. I ended up translating for a couple of homeless Polish men trying to stay in the country for the New Year to start work and not be sent back to Poland where they will be on the streets in an even colder climate.

Are your differences between each other really that great and worth something to you?

But I wish everyone a peaceful, enjoyable time worthy of happy memories.

For those that missed the joke (that would be folks new to the forums, or havent been around much lately), the first bit of the above statement refer to my trip out here to sunny (but friggin COLD) Bakersfield, CA.
The second part (not so obvious, since my husband hasnt been around here much, and I dont tend to post much about us) refers to the fact that he is traveling within the UK. For those who are geographically challenged, The United Kingdom is NOT a single country.

Life is too short for petty bullshit. I learned that from my mother and grandmother. It takes alot for me to turn my back on someone. We all have our faults and bleak times. This year has taught me life is precious and time is short. So peace and love and forgiveness I wish for all people in the coming year. And if you have people you love or are fighting with, make amends. You never know when there last day really is and it would be awful to carry around animosity till its too late and they are gone.

Also, a belated season's greetings from me. I held back earlier from posting due to my mal feeling, I did not want to poison this thread further, but my bad feeling is my own, caused by me, nothing whatsoever to do with online or other, it is just me at this time of year.

Despite what I have with distaste read on this thread, I know and feel what I know to be right, anything other I do not need to know, it is none of by beeswax, my energies go to what I believe to be true and if something is meant to be, it will be and that despite the difficulties posed by man.

But something in regards to what I read in this thread, know this, for many times has it happened, lovers have cried on the shoulders of trusted friends and not, things said, feelings released in word form, but what a true friend is to do, if they care, is absorb the energies from their friend, both negative and positive and be there for them when they ask you to absorb, as it helps them to see light in the darkness that has clouded their vision. A true friend who absorbs the negativities, they do so because of the love they feel for their friend, if they are not able to receive negative feelings and dissolve them, they should say so, as that feeling must not be regurgitated later in an unfitting place to taint the minds of others. Many a time lovers have spoken ill of each other, but very often that union is deep and lasts far beyond the ken of the friend, for they do not understand what happens from things said to the reality.

Hey Pirate and GT, I have an idea...my honey is in Guernsey, which is likely within a few hundred miles of Pirate...and GT is within a few hundred miles of me...so I propose an exchange in which GT and my honey magically trade places!

That way, instead of being 6000 miles away from the one we love, we could be within a much shorter distance.

Now all we have to do is invent the magic machine which will perform the switcheroo!
