It's fair to write about people here/on the other side that we haven't necessarily engaged in BDSM with, right? A dear friend of mine keeps a profile on collarme, and although I didn't meet him here and don't want him to read this, I'd like anyone who searches for his name to know that he's a good guy and someone worth meeting.
I met JohnnyNova in May, I think. I've had a profile on this site for about a year, and he's had one for more than three. I believe we exchanged a few emails back when I was new, but decided that we weren't particularly compatible and left it at that. I ran into him rather randomly on a non-dating message board, and had decided that I rather liked the guy as a person before I realized where I knew him from. I guess that he felt the same way, and one day I ended up driving to his neck of the woods to grab a beer and meet in person.
I've been making that drive close to three times a week for six months now. Johnny is like no one else I've ever met - fiercely smart, talkative, funny, and deeply compassionate. In the time I've known him, he's done more to cure me of my shyness than other friends have managed in years. (Not only is he the kind of person who will take me to parties and introduce me to people, he's the kind of person who will leave parties hours before he's ready to go because I'm tired or overwhelmed.) He definitely has a wicked side to him, but I've come to know him as a person of integrity, and he's someone that I trust without reservation.
Johnny is my adopted older brother, my partner in crime, and one of my best friends. I love him to death, and I want good things to come his way.
