A while ago, I responded to an ad here at CM that was placed by someone from rural Alabama. We wrote back and forth for some time, then she called me. Our conversation was great except I found her accent to be grating, me being a New York City guy. One thing led to another, quite rapidly, and I found myself inside a Sizzler in Beyondpodunk for my lil angel. She was waiting outside for me so we had a little problem right off the bat. Once over the initial clumsy machinations, I found her to be the sweetest woman, the best slave, and she became a good friend. I even grew to want to hear her talk, her accent and diction had such an intoxicating effect on me. After a while, more than a year, we did grow apart as there were just too many differences in what we liked to do, where we did them, and the people we liked. We always had our fantastic sex and BDSM games to fall back on. This worked for a while but we were being pulled apart by the encumbrances we carry: our pasts. We took a final trip to Smoky Mountains National Park and had a lot of fun. i have not seen or heard from her for about four years, despite efforts on my part to do so. She had begun to join the God squad just before I had to move out of the South to the Midwest. I think this is what has happened. I tried my darnedest to get her to move, but she wanted to stay where she was in the town she was born. I know from travelling with her how some people think a real Southern accent is the funniest thing they have ever heard. Usually this is done in an outright rude manner. I know why she did not want to move. If someone is reading this post wondering if collarme works, my experience is when it does work, it does so wonderfully.

Good post! Just so you know though. Southerners are tickled whenever we hear someone from NYC especially the brooklyn area say we talk funny. Have you guys ever actually heard yourselves? Haha. Don't even get me started on the New Jersey accent! Glad you hooked up with a Bama girl and it worked out! At least for a while.

Hey, where I live, Brooklyn accents are normal.   Thank you for the compliment also.

And not all Jersey girls have accents. You should hear my voice; it would stop you dead in your tracks. In a good way.[;)]

I lived in Jersey for 11 years and found that Jersey people don't have accents.  It's all the Brooklyn, Bronx and Philadelphia transplants who bring their accents with them! [:D]

Who cares about accents? Only idiots. She probably didn't move with you because you were an ass to her and she really could care less about you, not because of an accent. You just can't handle a southern belle.
