I don't really care if a domme is wearing fetishwear. In fact a LOT of fetish clothes make the wearer look ridiculous. It's hard to to bottom when you're trying not to laugh at what your top is wearing.

I think the key is to wear things that make you look good. Conservative dress is aways a good choice.

As a newly released sub I could care less what a Domme might wear.I just wish I could find another Domme to love, honor respect and serve. I am like a duck out of water without Her n my life to love and obey.

I guess I'm in the minority here. :) When I'm creating, I am dressed to the 9's.. at least until I get the blindfold on the bottom. ;) I 'like' being dressed up, having my heels on, my claws polished, make-up perfect, jewels all in place. The biggest compromise I'll make is putting my hair up so it doesn't get in my way, but even that is done after the blindfold goes on. Also, when the blindfold goes on, the shoes come off. lol I don't need to break an ankle for my art.

I also like the candles going, the right music.. it helps get my sadistic juices flowing. There is also that tiny little fear factor when I'm dressed, so that the bottom is just a bit unsure of how far I'm willing to go in my quest for sadistic entertainment. I feed off that fear, get energized from it. I also wear black.. and all the jewelry is silver. I love that combination. It feels.. hmm.. evil. And that's where I'm at when I create art on a human canvas. But then, I'm just a sadist and not a Domme, so maybe shouldn't have answered this question. ::chuckles::

You posted a very good question talmar.

I prefer to dress up when going to a play party or a dungeon. My clothing runs either towards a gypsy look with corsets, long flowing skirts and capes or a biker style with black Levi's, black leather vests, and Docs. The jewelry is usually silver although there are times I favor some of my copper and bronze pieces.

I do not wear high heels for Scenes because they are too easy to trip and fall in and
I want good traction while flogging or beating a sub.

If I am at home in the summertime with My boy, then there is no need for clothing at all,
just a scarf to pull hair out of the way.

I like my corset (sadly, yes, I only have one at this point) and I just inherited a pair of thigh-high boots from someone who bought them but can't wear them.  Other than that, my fetishwear collection is a bit spare at this point.  I wear whatever I happen to be in when we start - sweatshirt, jeans, lounge pants, t-shirt, pj's, nothing ... any variety of combination of that.  I am either wearing a pair of sneakers, moccasins, or barefoot. 

Holly is the same way - whatever is comfy ... which normally ends up being nothing.

Celeste, you and I seem to think alike on that topic. Love black and silver, candles and a dark forboding atmosphere. Also have often referred to the human body as a living canvas as well. *grins*

Alas though, I have no fetish wear, nor do I think I look good period. Overweight, bad self-image, yeah, all that great baggage I should have gotten over with by now.

Anyway, most of my scenes, done with my friends, are usually for lack of a better word, random. Very few times anything is actually planned out. Thus I wear pretty much whatever I am in or not in at the momment. The closest to fetish wear I have is the outfit in my profile photo, which I do often wear to events, get togethers, etc, lifestyle or not, because I like it.

I don't own what would be considered "fetish wear" such as PVC or leather pants or anything. But I do own clothes which are sexy and I consider to be "night club material" and they're dark colours.
When I play I don't like wearing anything with sleeves because I tend to get rather warm. So I try and stick with a tank top, or sleeveless. I love my jeans and have been known to wear them, as well as a cute little denim skirt I own it's kind of short and normally I don't show above my knee anywhere but I make the odd exception now and then. Because I don't have anyone to scene with on a regular basis it's usually planned out. Then I go through all of my clothes and do the typical I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR! thing, it's quite entertaining when watching me anyways.

I only wear fetish clothing to my professional sessions.

However in my private space I tend to wear joggers, a tank top and barefeet. Some of my best scenes happen to be in lounge clothing. I feel confortable and don't have to worry about falling in high heels LOL. Anyways, it's not the clothing that makes the Domme, it's her mind that is most importnant. When a Domme can create a scene spontaneously regardsless of location and wardrobe - she keeps the submissive on his/her feet at all times :)

What do you consider fetish wear, Talmar?

I never dress in what I consider fetish wear but there are people out there who have a fetish for keds or for t-shirts so to them, I might be in fetish wear.

I  consider fetish wear to be corsets, Lether dresses or skirts, military uniforms, doctor or nurse outfits.

But you do make a good point...what people consider fetish wear might vary from person to person.

Totally depend on my mood, what I am doing , who I am with and where we are going. LOL! Basically  who ,what, where, when and why determines my clothing. I do enjoy fetish clothing but also enjoy playing in casual clothes as well. I have one boy who has a jeans fetish so thats what I wear when with him.

It depends on my mood.   Mostly, beyond dressing "nicely", no, I don't much wear fetish wear.

If it's a night at the local dungeon, I may, and usually will for large events where it's a weekend immersion type thing for the evening events (but not during the day for classes). 

If I'm at home, I will often wear something more comfortable but sexy like a velvet or satin gown.

I actually have very little fetish wear relative to other scene related things (toys, library) - it's just never been a huge interest for me.

My reply to this question will echo Those before Me...

I love fetish wear, and reserve it for very special occasions. When a scene is pre-planned, of course I dress the part. When it is not pre-planned, as is the norm, I am quite comfortable as just as much of a Domme in a pair of jeans and a bra, barefoot. I prefer the naked male/Clothed Female symbolism as well.

Nope... I can dominate in a pair of sweats if I so choose to... generally though I like my lingerie, whether it be lacy, leathery or latexy. Depends on mood. In a lifestyle situation, I may even do it nude. Go figure.

It really cracked on of my private [vs professional] slaves came over one day to find me in boxers and a bitch beater with fluffy socks. Crossdressing for me! ; ) What I had to explain to him was that daily life is totally different from community activies.

Most people down here get dressed up to go to events/parties, myself included, but even that is not always a promise...Hell, I have performed at high fetish events in everything from nothing to blue jean overalls...clothing fetishism really is dependant of what you view as your kink!

For my clients, I am always stereotypically dom dressed. They are paying a lot of bank to see me, so they deserve the full show.
