Since I am finding out there there are many Sci-Fi geeks out there, myself included, I was wondering who is a fan of the Doctor? I am a big fan of Dr. Who and I have missed it being televised. I am so happy that Sci-Fi channel has begun a new series of them. I really hope it lasts.

Did you watch the series premier on Sci-Fi channel Friday?

Did you like it?

Who was the best Doctor?

Who is your favorite villan?

If given a chance, would you go with the Doctor on his adventures?

No, as i do not have cable tv (dont watch enough tv to justify the expense)

See answer to first question

Tom Baker (the one I grew up watching)

Cant remember his name, but the rogue timelord from The 5 Doctors

In a hearbeat

I like Dr. Who also,   the first convention that I ever went to  was a Who convention in high school... I guess I'd have to vote TomBaker as being a bit more favored for me, as he was the first one that I saw, too...

I think the rouge Timelord was 'hawt'
Has anyone else here seen  "The Curse of Fatal Death"?

I also like a bunch of other SF as well, and get to cons when I can.

That'd be "The Master"
that actor died last year, but yes, he was my favorite villain too

As to the other Questions
1: Nope, saw it when it first came out on the BBC (Sometimes its good to be english)
2: Yes! definately a return to form
3: Tom Baker, closely followed by Chris Eccleston, then John Pertwee
4: As I said, The Master
5: hmmmm. possibly.

because if there could only be one outcome that destroyed the darleks, or one outcome that would have left the universe intact, then they'd have had to take it, whatever the consequences. Time can only be pulled about so much (remember Teagan?)

Love the Doctor and have watched all the series up to when the production was sold to the US. Am planning on buying the entire series on vidio then having them burned to CD

Tom Baker is my favourite a with Jon Pertwee as second... With the cost of flying these days, I need a working Tadis, and no WallMart, K-Mart or ebay dont stock them....

Master is a big Dr. Who fan.  He's got every episode on VHS, and a tardis cabinet to keep them in.  And I am, apparently, in big trouble for not telling Him there was a new series starting last Saturday.  (like I even knew!)

IN REPLY TO Gauge:
Who is the best Doctor?
Dr Who! of Course!  Best Actor to capture Dr Who's personae Tom Baker
Who is your favorite villian?
The Master (he's sooooooooo Dominant lol),
2nd  Place goes to Davros the character and the creator of the Darlek legion in the episode GENESIS OF THE DARLEKS    and his Nazi style sidekick Nyder who enjoys interrogating
3rd Sutekh the egyptian-godlike Osiran character with a leather fetish in PYRAMIDS OF MARS
If given a chance, would you go with the Doctor on his adventures?
I did!!!! As a kid, religiously with the Dr every fiday night armed only with a pillow! Just in case it got scary.
I'd like to thank my sponsors for that imaginative ride - BBC and its relative the Australian Broadcasting Commission.
AND I'M HAPPY TO DO IT AGAIN.

'The particle accelerator from the T.A.R.D.I.S's main over-drive would put more hours into a day -wouldnt we All like one."

Footnote:
And I have this fanasty about Dr Who (Tom Baker) and Captain Jon Luc Picard  (Patrick Stewart) joining Forces.
against ......................mmmmmmm anyone got ideas for the enemy?

Which series just premiered over there? Tennent or Eccleston?

quote:

Did you like it?

Preffered Eccleston over Tenent but I'll give the boy time to get into the role before making my mind up. Eccleston however was the best Dr since Tom Baker. Pity the actor turned out to disapointingly not sign on for more than the one series.

Who was the best Doctor?

MY Dr was Pertwee and I'll always tend to think highly of him for being the one who first grabbed my imagination with the whole timelord idea (Plus Sarah Jane was seriously CUTE!)

But if I was to be totaly objective, then it would probably be Tom Baker

Who is your favorite villan?

The Master..... a fellow Dom!

He'd irritate me too much to travel with him so I'd kick his arse out the door and go hopping round the universe in the TARDIS with a few girls as my companions

1.  Gosh no - didn't realize they were showing it out here ... AWESOME!

2.  Dr. Who was and is AWESOME - but I am biased since I grew up with it ...

3.  Definitely Jon Pertwee ... but Tom Baker was also very entertaining.

4.  The DALEKS in general.  Love 'em.

5.  Definitely!!!

Anyone here love Thunderbirds?  I love that too ... my Christmas Day was complete if I got to watch that as a kid.  What else?  Stingray ...  Joe 90 ....

EXTERMINATE .... EXTERMINATE ..... !!!
