ORIGINAL: Rayne58 Last night I kicked my right foot on a lounge chair and I've fractured a toe [8|] It's extremely painful to walk and I'm trying to keep off it as much as possible. So right now out of necessity Master is having to look after me[&o] I'm finding this extremely frustrating! In the two years we've been together this is the first injury I've had and I've hardly ever been sick. He is having to order me to sit and rest, while all my instincts keep telling me I should be doing what I always do for Him. I'm trying to be good and do as I'm told but still find myself ready to jump up and do stuff........GRRRRR how do I cope with this?? [/end rant] this slave would suggest crawling, without dragging your injured foot behind you if you MUST get from one location to another...otherwise, it will take longer to heal and as mentioned, might not heal properly. a few months ago this slave was informed by the foot doctor she had fractured BOTH feet, one recently, one awhile back and apparently, this slave thought all that sharp pain was just having genetically over-arched feet and the inevitable damage done through 37 years of walking, running, jumping, etc(of which this slave has always done a LOT of) anyway, and not strengthening the ankles through intense ballet!!! the good doctor said that the more time spent without weight borne on the fracture--the faster it will heal. FOCUS ON HEALING!!!! Master has ordered you to sit and rest, it would be wise to take his advice!!! so instead of sitting there frustrated and antsy, focus that energy on NON-physical activities that promote healing~do you meditate?spend a few minutes focusing a healing white light surrounding your toe, (limited) yoga? do some stretches and upper body positions and breathing, allowed any sort of self-pampering(manicure, facial, etc)?, crafty at all? (now's a great time to get a head start on projects for upcoming holidays!!!) read? this slave can literally get lost for hours in a book! most importantly, accidents happen, the older we get the longer it takes to heal, and a positive outlook goes a long way in the healing process!!! thankfully, this slave's Master values His property and allows for time and time-outs from required activities for healing.
