At present, the asanawa is available in 5mm but will soon be available in thicker variants. For those of you who haven't used a proper Japanese style rope, it will be a revelation. It is very, very light and flexible due to a low twist rate. It is made from the best quality of jute, pale in colour and free from dark, harsh fibres. As you'll know, it is very expensive to bring in from Japan, so I have had it custom made a little closer to home. Consequently, I can offer a very similar product at a fraction of the price. I would be very interested in hearing from potential distributors.
