Mercnbeth -> RE: The GOP's Ugly 2010 Campaign: Pushing the Obacalypse (12/30/2009 8:53:10 AM)

A campaign that only needs to document the results and lack of improvement to succeed. But of course there are still some who think that a Democratic President, a filibuster proof Democratic majority in Congress can't accomplish anything is the GOP's fault. It's been a year. Considering how terrible and unprepared this Administration was for the disaster they found - you would think there would be at least one aspect improving. Can you point to one? More bailouts, the use of stimulus money going to great causes like; City of Bozeman decided Monday to spend about $50,000 of its $621,000 in stimulus money to replace aging courts with a new rubber tiled surface, record unemployment, and falsified jobs created by the 'stimulus'. "Pushing the Obacalyspse"? Unless you have a different spin on the actual results it seems to be documenting the 'Obaclayspse'. Maybe that is the spin - somehow a party out of power caused the false report, the rise in unemployment, allocating a $100 Billion donation to the global warming religion, the payouts to political contributers for executive bonuses, and is the reason the few businesses have any plans for expansion and hiring. I guess that's a good marketing plan, the OP believes it. Meanwhile, another $3.5 Billion of tax money today going to a failure who already received $12.5 earlier this year. GMAC Financial Services is close to getting approximately $3.5 billion in additional aid from the U.S. government, on top of $12.5 billion already received since December 2008, according to people familiar with the situation. Yup - it is "ugly". I guess this is yet another campaign issue caused by that powerful, in name if not in votes, GOP. When the people realize and have the guts to step out of their political party identify and get rid of all these incumbents, you may see some of the 'CHANGE!' you thought you were getting last year. I'm sorry - try as best I could I couldn't find any national program or policy initiated by the GOP so once again, the only GOP disaster I can point to in California. Where the 'Govenator' has bankrupted the State and needs to go begging to Washington to cover an anticipated $20 Billion budget shortfall. Arnold has used all the same programs and practices now being implemented nationally; more taxes, more regulations, more entitlements, more appeasement of the public employee unions. The budgetary shortfall in California documents the results. Try and remember - my position is that every election from now until change is affected should be seen as a referendum vote. Every incumbent regardless of the political party should get a vote of 'no confidence' - affected by voting for anyone else on the ballot. If your mentality can't bring you to vote for a Democrat or Republican - vote for anyone else on the ballot or write in yourself. It is the only way to vote the PAC special interest influence out.
