yup, i agree wholeheartedly, it's a wonderful country.

and i come from the viewpoint of being a citizen of both.

thing is, i can go to anywhere in both countries and by virtue of having families in both, i'll always have "somewhere" to fall back on if a meet didn't work out. i have contacts in both countries, who would undoubtedly come if i was unable to "escape" by myself.

the OP doesn't seem to have these kind of safeguards.

and just because we're "civilised", doesn't mean Aus doesn't have a dirty side to it:

Aus sex trade 1
aus sex trade 2

I am trying to get views of other slaves who have had to turn over all financial accountability to their owner.

Okay, we get it.  You don't want to hear from the naysayers... you just want to hear from people that have done it.  That's the problem... I don't know anyone who has done it the way YOU are planning on doing it.  You've heard from some people who had turned over financial responsibility; however, they've had safeguards in place.  Your scenario has NONE.

You haven't heard from Kyra yet (one of Knight's girls).  She moved from the US to Canada, and if I'm remembering correctly, she turned over finances to Knight.  However, I know I have read that he has provided for all of the people under his charge (both of his girls as well as the children).  Her name is on certain legal documents (and the house, I think), she has access to money if something were to happen to Knight, etc.

As an aside... forgive me Kyra, if I have scrambled the details... the important part is that Knight has thought ahead to the unpleasant "what ifs" in life, and provided for your future.

Cali

Cali.. you are mostly correct.....

I have provided alot of legal protections for Kyra in the event of many possible events even if they are highly unlikely. I put her on the title of the house... she has access to the necessary bank accounts (they girls actually do the mundane banking stuff... I just look at the numbers ) We have Wills, Power of Attonery, Personal Directives (Medical power of attorney). Her name is on the vehicle.... and she actually does all our House & Vehicle insurance being an insurance broker and all..... Retirement Savings plans are in place as well and well... we have life insurance polices.

I think there needs to be a distinction between handing over financial decision making and limiting ones access to the financial resources. I make All the decision with regards to the financial decisions of this house hold... BUT... I don't limit the girls knowledge or ability to exercise financial decision making if it would become neccessary. The understand very clearly when they have the permission to exercise this ability.... and will do so as they are required!

The meeting part is not that easy, with myself residing here  in utah  and he resides in australia.  Took time to get the passport and make the plans. While we meet online, it was a mutual friendship we struck up , starting chatting of our needs and desires, it was his mind that made me want to serve him, not what he looks like.

He does not want an independant slave,  most of my independence comes from me being financially responsible for myself was hoping another slave could relate to handing over the self governing of their financial aspects for the future.
We agree meeting is very important, we both hope the chemistry is there.
I am thankful for the replies

with the little bit I have read.... I would say that you are taking a very risky approach with a huge downside. personally... I see recklessness for your future for the pleasure of the moment....

editted.... to add

Your subject line and the point of your OP is to get past the fears. Fears are there for a reason...... the best way to get past the fears to take thoughtful responsible choices and steps to remove those fears. Currently... the choices and steps you plan to take are not removing those fears..... that in of itself should tell you something of the truth to all these nay sayers on this thread. Just maybe you should be alittle more thougthful and considerate to the steps and choices your making and the fears will subside........ Ignore them at your own risk!

2.  Once actually his Owned property as slave, he set up for me a bank account that he contributed to periodically for my well-being in the event something happened to him.  Yes, men do get hit by the bus - even Owners.  This account had my signature, and it was money that was my "just in case the world ended" fund - that let me go on living if something happened.

just a note to this... the type of bank account can be huge...... it's a simple thing but in the event of death it can be stress that could of been avoided. Alandra's uncle passed away last year ... his wife of over 30 years didn't have access to the account... even though her name was on the account. The issue was the type of account. Some accounts require BOTH individuals... while other accounts can be either/or. I would suggest that one ensures that it is an either situation.

Yes, absolutely.  In my case the account was in my name only - he didn't want his name on it at all to avoid any issues.

I think you common sense is pleading with you. Your clearly not the selfish one. A meaningful D/s relationship is suppose to enhance your life, not jeopardize it.
