Now maybe i'm missing something, but coming from a Protestant standpoint, we didn't have service on Christmas day just because it was a holiday. In fact, pastors always made a habit of pointing out the unlikelihood of Christmas even being Jesus' actual birthday. (the mention of Mass is a moot point of course, as the President isn't Catholic) Religion is sort of like kink in this way ....your Christianity is not MY Christianity.... Disclaimer:Not all Christians are extremists or fucking nutters, but there are just enough crazy people calling themselves "Christians" around here to make us all look bad. [8\|] btw.... Holy Shit...i've been black 34 years and never heard of any of this type of theology (in Christian churches) until Jeremiah Wright and the election. i never heard of that highlighted part of your post until just reading it. It saddens me and sickens me that such hatred exists in the hearts and minds of men, regardless of color or creed. It really angers me that people so often spread hatred under the guise of religion. Perhaps people think this "ideology" is pretty rampant and far-spread in predominately Black churches. Having attended various churches, i say assuredly... it isn't. tulip, I basically live down here in the politics section. We have different factions down here. Many of us have learned to ignore a lot of crap that is posted. There are people that will create 30 page threads if President Obama steps on a beetle or uses Charmin toilet paper instead of recycled toilet paper, to wipe his behind. Many of these people think President Obama is responsible for every decision made by all the past Presidents in the last 50 years, even the one's made before he was born. Happy New Year
