I do believe you are in that cloud.

usually in my threads only, in others that are active i do try to respect the op

LadyPact -> RE: on your list of requirements (12/31/2009 4:29:45 PM)

As many folks know, I'm actually originally from PA.  [8D]

To answer the follow up question from the OP.......

It could be the thread went to crap because many of us traded comments back and forth that were raised during the discussion.  Ummmm, just like you did.

It could be due to the concept that is it a discussion, and therefore other topics will be raised.  Ummmm, just like you did.

It could be that some comments on this thread were based on opinion helping others to understand their point of view, either by making statements or following up with questions.  Ummmm, are you seeing where I'm going with this?

Now, here's the best follow up question of all.  I'd like to ask everybody who is so inclined to take a minute to look at their own profile.  Do you have written in their what you are seeking, if you are in fact seeking at all?  For a lot of folks, the answer is going to be that it's already in there.  So, it could be that they felt it was redundant.

Maybe it's just because folks who enjoy talking to each other were having some fun during the holidays.

Speaking of which, Happy New Year!

It's like this... We are having a conversation... It ebbs and flows.  That is how conversations work.  It is NOT disrespectful.  It means we have different ways of looking at things, it means that we are reminded of something and share it.  Welcome to communication.

While my list of things that match my "perfect partner" is NOT a list of requirements, it is relevant.  YOU (general you, not you personally) don't get to dictate how other people respond.  Neither do I.  Not all who wander are lost...

best,
sunshine

Elisabella -> RE: on your list of requirements (12/31/2009 4:31:33 PM)

Well you see, osf, there's this thing called a forum. And on a forum, there are people who are called "posters" which, judging by their name, means they are there to post.

Posters post on things called 'threads' but threads tend to be limited to a single topic, and they also have a built in expiry time when just about everything to be said has been said. When that happens, in order for the poster to continue to be a poster (one who posts) rather than a lurker (one who lurks) the poster will have to go to another thread and post there.

Fortunately for posters, the structure of a forum is hospitable to having many threads being posted to concurrently. Thus the poster need not feel restricted to posting to one thread at a time.

I hope this cleared things up.

sunshinemiss -> RE: on your list of requirements (12/31/2009 4:32:39 PM)

Happy New Year to you too LP!!!

LadyPact -> RE: on your list of requirements (12/31/2009 4:33:57 PM)

i agree, but the personal attacks should be something adults avoid

, let me ask you if you saw your children behaving the way i've seen some act here , what would you do?

sunshinemiss -> RE: on your list of requirements (12/31/2009 4:37:11 PM)

1.  Personal attacks... not a far cry from "I want to abuse women"
2.  I agree adults ought act like adults.  They don't.
3.  I don't have children.
4.  I don't treat adults as if they are children.

i understand and agree, but it goes back to the attacks

i personally couldn't be friends with someone that attacked others because it could be me next or again

My answer to this is Yes, since I did tweak it earlier this morning!

A very Happy New Year to you and yours Lady P.

hopelessfool -> RE: on your list of requirements (12/31/2009 4:38:24 PM)

Tell them to get off the fing computer and go play like good little children..

Just saying
ETA
And my theripist says on a regular basis the one choice you have in life that involves other is those you choose to be around or dont.  I choose not to be around most of my blood relatives for various reasons but mostly because I dont like them around me and how i feel when they are, If you dislike the people on the forums so much, Be a big boy put on your big boy panties, and hide them, or simply stop posting on the forums you feel your getting "attacked on"

LadyPact -> RE: on your list of requirements (12/31/2009 4:38:37 PM)

Thank you, bear, and the same to you!

sunshinemiss -> RE: on your list of requirements (12/31/2009 4:39:07 PM)

It occurs to me ....

osf, if you don't think threads started by you are worthy of your own version of respect, why would others?

this is a site for sexually deviant adults , so such banter should not shock you, if it does there's always the nice girl page on the baptist site
