ORIGINAL: Aneirin In the UK, the Royal Family are sometimes reffered to as the firm because of their money making exploits. The UK nobility is related to European nobility by ancestry, but where else in the world has that nobility stretched to I wonder, if not in title, but position, has the firm extended its creepers overseas. Who are the world finance nobility, do they come and go, or are they the same families, perhaps even the same families who once financially ran Europe ? The Monarchy hasn't 'financially ran' England for a good 400 years - since the days of Cromwell which is enshrined in law and successive governments remind the Monarchy with statements in Parliament to ensure they get the picture. I've never heard them called the Firm - but I can tell you for a stone-cold fact that the Queen personally shot Diana in the face in a tunnel in Paris. Anyway they're all German - either out of the House of Saxe-Coburg or Hannover or one of the other German clans. Catherine the Great - ruler of Russia - she was a German. Queen Victoria (German Mother - Princess May of Tech who became Queen Mary - and half German Father) married a German and once said in a letter to a German cousin that she was German at heart. King George - mad as a snake - German (a pattern developing here - think Hitler and Der Kaiser). But then seeing as they didn't marry commoners and Germany was a series of Dukedoms and Principalities with a surplus of royal blood while England was one country - then there was very little option but to marry a German (from the Protestant parts). Thinking about it you're right - the EU is basically a German ran European common market - so yeah they're still running wild round Europe. It's in the blood though ain't it - the Vandals/the Goths - Bismarck and his 'Iron and Blood' ideas. Just one merry procession into conquest.
