ORIGINAL: ThatDamnedPanda As many times as Rush has made hateful, bigoted remarks concerning others, and his supporters have passed them off as "jokes," I don't see any reason at all that it's out of line for people to make jokes about his misfortune. After all, according to him and his followers, that's one of his favorite forms of humor. So if someone else does something bad, it's ok for me to do it too, because they did it first? You honestly believe that? You make a good point here, but I see it differently. What possible reason would I have for wanting to treat him better than he treats other people? The way I look at it, the man makes his living being a nasty, spiteful, vicious, mean-spirited prick who never hesitates to lie about people in order to advance his political agenda, or ridicule people who are less fortunate than he or who are experiencing extreme difficulties in their lives - so he has no right to expect anyone to treat him any better than he treats others. I'm sick and tired of these nasty, lying conservative hate-mongers treating other people with total disrespect, and then whining that it's somehow unfair for people to treat them the same way they consistently treat others. Fuck 'em. They set the tone of the debate, and they can't have it both ways. They made it a war, they picked the rules by which they wish to fight that war, and this is what they chose.
