ORIGINAL: Jeffff I was gone for a while. I really had nothing to do with moderation. I just got bored. Domiguy told me he was invited back, so I returned to watch the crash and burn...:) Since my return I have seen posters going BAT SHIT on other posters, yet they are still posting. I think this is a good thing. Incidentally, none of the was D.G. I don't know what caused an apparent shift in philosophy but I think letting people vent and loose their temper is a good thing. Just because one person calls anotherĀ a stupid motherfucker doesn't make them bad..... or necessarily wrong. Most people can find a way to work it out among themselves or ignore each other. I would encourage the fine folks who operate Collar Me to let it continue. Jeff... Who is really tired of serious posting While some venting is understandable and expected, the main purpose of the boards is the discussion and the exchange of ideas. Emotionable ramblings that do not meet that criteria are probably best put in one's profile or journal area. There are many who take a lot of liberities when it comes to addressing the OP's and fellow poster's remarks. I do not believe that losing one's temper is ever acceptible and to refer to someone as a "stupid motherfucker" only shows one as socially ignorant and immature. Debating the content of of a post is fine, and while hard at times, attacking the poster is not. As far as the moderators comming in or not, well there are things that they should involved in, but post content for the most part, is not one of them. As far as working it out, my guess is that people simply ignore one another, After all, for many, it is simply words on a screen
