Hi, I was wondering, if you could have the most perfect and well stocked dungeon what would it look like and what would it have in it.

My perfect dungeon would be below ground on the estate of a huge castle that had modern facilities and a ton of acreage.

An amazingly varied wine cellar would lead one to the dungeon, which would of course be soundproof.

What would be in it would be me, a guy and a ton of cool equipment. I know this sounds a tad cliche, but it's my fantasy.

Now, if only I won the lottery....

It would have to have a roll up steel door.

Rope, rope, rope, rope, rope, rope, rope....oh and someone to put in the rope. A perfect dungeon is a very relative question. I can create an entire evening round my bound slave's body and my hands and mouth...what more do I need? Nothing...what more do I want? Well lots, but what I want may not be what you want....violet wand, fire batons, needles, knives, isopropyl alcohol.....yummy.

Just getting mine together so it will be ready by the time mine returns.   So far I've been the one in pain (dropped a bondage frame plank across both feet), didn't know the pain part was supposed to work this way...lol

I'm pretty mad at the room right now, I've closed the door and we aren't talking....I'll have to get back to you on this one...lol

Hmmm... It's an interesting presumption.

My automatic response was

A kitchen
and a bedroom
and a jacuzzi
and a chair with just the right height arm
and ... hmmm it'd be a home.

I did  dungeon post once - Mines going to be in the basement made of river rock. The number one thing the subs requested was HEAT! Especially the floor. It seams that if they become subbiecicles it reduces their enjoyment and the really hate cold feet. LOL

Things that come immediately to my mind are rope, floggers, and pony tack.

That's why you hang them from the ceiling.  That way their toes don't have to touch the cold, cold cement.

Soundproof lining.
A four-poster bed with rings near the top of each post and ankle restraints at the bottom
Heavy, solid whipping post with restraints
Wet bar/sink for wetting cloths for aftercare
Pegs for floggers, paddles, etc.

And absolutely essential...the beautiful, submissive woman who loves me (and I her)!

Up until recently we had a dungeon with a roll up steel door! It felt like you were walking into an air lock. It was sound proofed too and we even had a BDSM shower room.

Dungeons can be fun but to be honest we rarely used it in the end. Not because we don't play but because it just all started to feel a bit fake.

The best play space we have ever had was not a dungeon but a large old house that we were doing up. It was out in the middle of nowhere and still had the basic amenities of a Victorian house, with the old scullery, butlers pantry, maids quarters and the meat rooms where large ominous looking hooks hung from the ceilings. It was filled from top to bottom with original furniture which immediately gave you the feeling that you had stepped back in time. It also had the old stables, daisy the cow shed, a brick build kennel the original and still used well.
A difficult place to work in as we kept getting carried away with the setting!

Oak.

Oak flooring, real oak, not the B.S. 1/32" laminate you get at home depot. Finished drywall walls, painted in warm colors. The occasional mirror on the wall, framed in matte black. A minifridge for ice and water, in brushed steel, inside of a built in cabinet containing a warming rack for towels, more towels and water for clean up, and a set of drawers for all the rope, shackles, candles, and other brick-a-brack. Hooks in a ceiling built with suspension in mind. Indirect lighting, as well as pot lights spotlinghting the various bits of funiture, with each light controlled indiviually.

Let there be a St. Andrew's cross padded in upholestry satin or velvet. Let the bench be made of hardwood. Let there be a "chair and a half," overstuffed and perfect for aftercare cuddling. Let the bed be four poster, and give it overstuffed pillows.

Have all the wood finished in the way that may only be achieved with wax, tung oil, and a lot of hand polishing.  Have all metal be polished to a high shine.

Yes, I HAVE given some thought to this, how can you tell?

A dungeon? No, can't say I'm too keen on that.

A done up house on the other hand...

'Hey, I always wondered. Why are there eye hooks screwed into the walls everywhere?'
'Oh, no real reason. One never knows when you'll need to tie something down! Earthquake area and all.'
'But it's New York.'
'We had one!'

We've laughed at just that...the thought of having to explain all of the eyehooks.
