There are a few fakes on here that contantly 'pretent' to be what they are not. This is bad for all our reputations and by ignoring it we acrually condone it which will in time kill the rooms off. What can we do about it?

I personally do not have to do anything about it. To condone someone who wanted to do something about it sends out warning signs in me..................who next will be consider a fake and be banned by you?

I know, right! I really hate that there are so many whiners on CM, it gives this awful reputation that people who are into BDSM are just a bunch of weirdos who worry that their chat room reputation is ruined if the hot girl they were jerking off to cyber dominating turned out to be a dude.

As someone who makes it a policy to only have sex, real or imagined, with people whose a/s/l is verifiable, I feel something must be done about this. What should we do to start?

Level, that is so totally an old wives' tale.  And like all old wives' tale, it is derived from an element of truth.  Because, of course, old wives are known to be wise and practical.

...of course, you realize that the tricky part is staring the fake "squarely in the eye."  Only a Who's Who of hoodoo could manage to command a fake to appear before them.  And at that moment, their spell of enchantment over you would be broken, the veil lifted from your eyes, and you could clearly see that a 5' 2", 110 lb redhead with 36DD breasts and a proclivity for double-jointedness, could not possibly look like the person who played "Buffalo Bill," in Silence of the Lambs.

As far as I can tell, the fakes haven't affected my rep in the least....or anybody's rep aside from those of the fakes.

OP there are thousands of threads, on this subject, why don't you contact the people who started them and band together to rid CM  of these fakes?

ive been to the chat rooms twice. i have no idea who im talking to, why im talking to them or what theyre angle is. both times i came away feeling that it was five minutes of my life ill never get back.

i dont believe fakers exist all over the place or any more than anywhere else, but i certainly dont rate the chat rooms much. [8|]

You've met them all in person and know they aren't what they seem? Or you're just assuming they're men pretending to be women because they turned you down?

And who are you to say that a male with a female persona isn't someone with gender dysmorphia acting out their true self, which may well not be what their outward sexual characteristics show them as?

im uncomfortable with the word fake. Because some might regard me and others as fakes but we are not. its just the geographical practicality of serving Women or Dommes in the US and Britain while living hundreds and thousands of miles away makes it impossible for me and others to serve. thats not fake thats reality. also the financial problem which many people are experiencing at the moment makes it difficult even to serve a local Domme

There is nothing that can about it. It is a sad fact that some people are so desperate for attention that they must assume a different persona. What do these people ultimately hope to gain as they can never meet? this type of fantasy can be harmless or really devastating depending on how it is played. As far as hurting the chat rooms? and how can they do that? I think you may be being al little bit a alarmist. just simply ignore it and move on

Super easy. Get offline and get thee to a local munch group. If there isn't one in your area, start one. Meet people face to face and screennames won't mean a thing to you because you will have some fleshy contacts!

The problem with that is that someone might see he is a fake...

Not saying that is the case at all. I just have to wonder about the people that create threads like this. Something about that old saying that goes something like "methinks he protests too much..."

Then again...........I am just a figment of my own imagination. My reputation feels so........sullied.
