Happy New Year to One & All!!  Wishing You a great 2010!!! 
The holidays were great.  I celebrated Solstice/Yule and, later, Christmas w/ my family, then New Year's.  Busy busy.  They were all nice, but I am so SO glad they are over!  I plan on being more organized this year, losing my every-once-in-awhile negativity, and I am going to be more creative with trying out new things in the kitchen.  Yum yum.  The investigation of Sir's death is still not finished and, on a more positve & happy note, I am writing to some Dominants and I hope to meet the right One once again.  My cat is an awesome judge of character & I know if my cat accepts Someone, He will be okay.  And.....love me, love my cat, ya know.....package deal.  [;)]

~peeks in~ Ah yes, Mistress and I are still around. Just staying busy and out of trouble (well, I do try!)

2009 definately was an interesting year for us. Full of ups and downs, a wee bit more drama than I generally enjoy... but the good stuff (though in short supply) was definately life altering GOOD. So I'll focus on that and the rest becomes completely meaningless.

For 2010 I hold high hope for more good than bad. Less drama because I'm simply not allowing it in my life anymore! Lots more time with our horses... because you simply can't be sad around a horse, they won't allow it. Well, most of the time they won't. lol. Right now we're weaning the colt so Momma isn't terribly happy, but this shall pass. Think of the reunion in Feb, not them missing each other right now!

I also hope for more time with friends, I have missed them something terrible the past few months and fully intend to catch up with a few here soon. *nods at Ms Francine... you are HIGH on that list Ma'am!* lol.

Otherwise, life is pretty much the same around here. Family is healthy, everyone present an accounted for... what more can anyone ask for?

Well, a bit of news - I'm officially a professor. I start teaching a clinical section at the local community college on Thursday. I'm rather excited.

Yeah - I was definitely not expecting to be starting so soon - I figured that it would be over the summer or the fall semester or something. Instead, they wanted me to start right away, as long as I agree to apply to a Master's degree program (which I was planning to do eventually anyway - this just motivates me to do it sooner).

Yo!

I was busy at the start of the month, readying to host a play party, hosting it, and just incidentally also priestessing a collaring ceremony that same afternoon a couple of hours earlier. Finished up the evening with a two-hour scene with a local who has requested domination as well as topping; we're still in discussions. And slept in 'til mid-afternoon Sunday, waking with the grin still floating around my system.

woe is me ... I just got told that "u r ugly" and that I'll never find a husband ... by a "woman" who looks amazingly like a blow-up doll. LOL Obviously, I'm traumatized by it *gigglesnort*

Got 2009 out of my system and here is the new year.

Saturday I was starting puny in the chest, like that lead feeling. I started coughing for no reason (thinking it was just sinus drainage). I progressively got worse to where I did call the doctor yesterday. Upper respiratary infection, with my lungs filled with crud. I am taking breathing treatments at home, drinking SunnyD and resting on the computer...

This year, I want to see some weight loss. Mom and I joined Curves and I know I have not lose any weight yet, but I look forward to the workouts because of the music selection. I just have to adjust me eating habits, but I am still a honeybun gal, trying to give that up.

My former sub is going to beauty school in another city and he still wants to marry me. I am shaky on this because I have made great strides in controlling my bipolar and Mom suspects that he may have be contributing to my outbursts by triggering me on accident. He is still married to his wife (they have not lived together for several years) so I urged him to get the divorce and we'll see how it goes when it is finalized.

I am crocheting when I am not on the computer. I have to learn to share the computer with my mom and I do when she is not asleep. She takes over when I am asleep...LOL! Last night she caught me asleep at the computer, transferring music to my MP2 player so when I start my walking back up (too damned cold right now) I have something to listen to. I use the same playwer when I have to ride the bus to Austin.

This year, I am spending more time with Lizard, my sadomachostic daughter (even her BF calls her that). Am going to be with her on her birthday week so there will be a small cake and pints of ben and jerry's at the party (one scoop please...LOL!). Now if she can just get her grades up, I will be happy.
