i just wanted to share something:
First of all, let me start by saying, i love this site. When i started my profile here 2 years ago, i came looking for one thing: a partner.
i never counted on finding so many friends. And not just casual acquaintances that just happen to post and banter here....but true blue friends. Today was a day for my weeuns and me to celebrate. We spent the day together, and on our way home i said, "Let's check the mail". i was counting on the usual, circulars, cable bill, i expected my new insurance cards...and they were all there, but sitting on top was a package. i knew the handwriting right away. It was from Daddysredhead. My daughter said "Wow Mommy, a gift from 1000 miles away....see how much people love you."
The gift meant so much to me because for whatever reason, it was my only tangible gift this year. It was also a sentimental gift that showed she picked it out just for me. There was a card....as always, from her entire family. It's not the first time my friends from CM have sent a card, thoughtful email, post or package when G-d must've known i needed it most. Thank you hejira for starting this thread....but thank you more for loving me and being a friend. Thank you Lushy, for wanting to start the thread lol. my friends here (and i can't mention you all by name) are so vitally imprtant to me now. i just wanted to take this time to say....we are not all fakes!
Finally, i'd like to say to the CM volunteers and staff...Thank You!!!! i know i often jokingly tell whiners that they should collect a refund, when they complain about this site. But seriously....for the wealth of connections i have made on this site, i could never repay Collarme. There is no earthly price tag big enough to charge for what it is worth to make bosom*giggle* friends that make me feel really loved and cared about on days like today. i appreciate you, and what this site has done for me.
