I have been into this lifestyle for two years now, I've read virtually everything I could find. I have sat down and thought about it and I believe this is the lifestyle for me. But I have only had one experience and that was at a play party, I'm too young to get into clubs. I am ready to do more than just read. What should my next step be? Hellforge

Having been in your exact position before, my best advice to you would be... A) Find and join some local Munch/Support Groups. They're a great way to meet people and learn things. If there aren't any in your area that welcome the under 21 crowd, start one that does. We did, and it was/is successful. B) Keep attending those local play parties, if you have the opportunity to do so. This kinda goes along with getting out into the realtime community. C) Ask another Dom, sub, or whatever you are, since your profile isn't cooperating with me, that you like and trust, to take you "under their wing", so to speak. It can be a great learning experience. D) Once you think you've read everything there is to read, read it all again, and then some. You can never have too much knowledge of something you're passionate about. As always, YMMV. That's all I've got. Have fun, and play safe.

Find a club and then find a girl, knock the girl over the head with the club, then take her by her hair and drag her back to your bedroom and play![:)] The shadows advice is much better, but mine is more fun! Good luck, Kevin

Date kinky. At least find the kinky goth clubs in your area until you can go to the bdsm play focused clubs and groups. You went to a play party, so keep going. Volunteer.

Look for a TNG (The Next Generation) group in your area. They are an 18-35 group. Also, some groups in your area might have things for people your age (for example, our MAsT group is 18+ since we are a discussion group only). A lot of groups will allow 18+ on the email list even if they won't allow 18+ in the real time group. Go to google.com and search with the name of your nearest large city and the acronym BDSM. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere, some things should pop up. You can usually find contact information for the leaders of the group and ask if they allow people your age, or if they don't, ask if they know a group in the area that does. Hope this helps. Fire

I've found that in some instances, it may have to do with what state you live in as far as the age allowed for the local BDSM groups. Where I am at, the local groups are 21 plus, as are their email lists, and even the TNG groups. However there are 18 plus groups out there, you just have to look, even if it means a long boring search. I second the notion of finding a local Dom with which to connect with, as they may also have ties to the community as a whole, are great sources of information, as well as good friends, and if you like to bottom, fun to play with as well. They could also help you start a group for your age, as I am trying to do here. Keep coming to the forums and learning. Never stop learning and questioning/ exploring who you are. The process of figuring it all out, is often as exciting, or more so, than the end result.

I'm allready involved in a munch group. The play party was through a munch group in another town that I used to live in, I've moved away from there since. I AM definetly looking for a mentor. I've read everything multiple times, trust me. There is a TNG like group in my area, but they meet mostly in a 21+ club. There is only one remotely goth club in Atlanta, and I'm trying to get down to it. I'm trying to stay legal, and besides I know the owners of a couple of the clubs and have talked to them. I've had a profile up on collarme for about a year and a half. Thanks so much for all the advice, and please keep it coming. Hellforge
