When Obama appoints a special prosecutor like Patrick Fitzgerald and the FBI and some forensic accountants to investigate these crooks I will believe it when he talks about how, "I didn't get elected to help fat cat bankers". Otherwise, I prefer to see someone like Robert Kennedy Junior, who said Republicans are 100% corrupt and Democrats are 65% corrupt, lead the Democratic Party.

Goldman Sachs is among the most visible financial parasites. Their executives have a revolving door through the US Treasury Department. They profit through “trading,” much like Enron did; including selling investments represented as AAA while simultaneously betting the value of those investments tank. Their CEO says they’re “doing God’s work,” as Enron’s CEO said, “We are on the side of angels.”

A US Senate report puts the parasitic cost to Americans at $2 to $4 trillion every year. To put that figure into perspective, that’s an almost unbelievable $20,000 to $40,000 added cost per US household every year. Goldman Sachs is so happy with their “trading,” they’ll pay out a record of $23 billion in bonuses to their top employees for their 2009 work.

Status: offline 		This it what they do. Moral issues can not be applied here (people  with moral issues can not get work at GS) . Everything is legal. They have megatons of money; you are free to enjoy your anger.

Status: offline 		The bonus system is widely open to abuse, but has it's uses.....it can often be essentially a way of not paying shitty or lazy workers. I quite like it in that regard, would probably use it myself if I ever came to employ a number of people.

I don't get OPs take on the issue.....if GS is a parasite on the american people....are GS employees all mexican citizens or something? The whole banking system is flawed, but most people don't seem to understand it at all or have any suggestions....apart from communists ofc. And I don't really think the bonuses are the problem.

It's run as an industry for profit making businesses, but the govt has to almost ensure that none of the companies collapse, because it puts individuals savings in danger...papermill collapses, bad news for its workers but........bank collapses, national disaster....government must step in. It puts large banks in a no lose scenario. Solve that problem without public owned banking system and you win the game.

Status: offline 		As I understand it, the federal reserve is a collection of several hundred private corporations, controlled by a board appointed by congress. I could well be very wrong about that though, half remembered foreign banking systems....
Either way, I am completely lost, as to how that relates to my post. :)

Goldman Saches is part of these said money changers.

Well, the people who like "Velvet Elvis" prints up on their walls also like the ones with JFK, MLK and RFK on them.
And did you ever notice that the Kennedys always want to "serve" their country? But only in the top positions, never in something to do with the hoi polloi.

Moon, JFK was an "Officer", not an enlisted man. As was his brother Joe.
Damn! Why do I feel like I need a shower everytime I talk about "The Kennedy's?
