Mnottertail, you forgot to add Bill Gates, Sally Struthers and Jimmy Carter to that list.

michaelGA -> RE: Bush's Press Conference (3/21/2006 8:40:50 PM)

what part of "NO WORTHY" candidate does everyone NOT understand...if there's NO WORTHY candidate, then there's NOBODY worth voting for...so why waste the time to vote...besides...it's all rigged anyway. the Presidency is open to the HIGHEST bidder.

Bush and his Whole Family are EVIL, His grandfather and greatgrandfather were both arrested by FDR's Administration for trading with the Enemy. They were the money men behind Nazi Germany and Hitler! There is proof that George Sr. was tied in with the Bay of Pigs invasion and the murder of JFK, as well as proof that he was tied in with a child sex ring!

and we have put this Demon- Spawn in the White House!

Then I suggest you share this "proof" with us. Words mean something, and tossing ones like "evil" around without it being based in fact is foolish.

Let me quicken the pace, then; since things of such nature seem to be inheirently obvious.........

SLA
PLO
HAMAS
Ton Ton Macutes
Hyksos
Vik
Andreas Bader
Ulricka Meinhof
Zionism from time immemorial
The invasion if Iraq

The CIA
The KGB
Mossad

No particular order, but some in fairly deeply recorded history, and certainly not an exhaustive account........

But I didn't need any time.  Regardless of the position, pro or con in these debates, it will usually be solicited (by general understanding if not by outright demand) that a defence by platitude or euphamism should contain more lemma than conjecture.  Otherwise, by simple contrapositives as just evidenced, your entire argument is null and void, and may dismiss anything cogent  that may have even the least merit.

Ergo. Id est! Responde!

pssssssst.........Ron, you left Mad Dog Vachon off the list *grins*

In my mind at least, Killer Kowalski was the terrorist.  Mad Dog was my hero.  I got to spend about an hour and a half with him on a plane from Omaha to Minneapolis.

A very interesting fellow; he.

Only have one thing to say in regards to "CAPTAIN DANGEROUS'S" press conference...........ROFLMMFAO!!!!!!!!!

incognitoinmass -> RE: Bush's Press Conference (3/22/2006 6:08:20 AM)

It might help the discussion if some of the participants here actually viewed the press conference in question.  Since most of us did not I have attached a link to the transcript:

That's when I go for the lesser of the evils.  I'll admit it.  I voted independent.  I never vote a straight party ticket, but independent (no, I won't say which one) was the lesser of the evils in my opinion this time around.

And for all of you who really like to argue, here you go, "blah, blah, blah, a vote for Nader is a vote for Bush."
Nope.  A vote for Nader is a vote for Nader.

I suggest that we (as a country) rent several apartments in Bagdad and send king george, henchman dick and the rest of them to live over there for a few months.

BTW, our "war on terror" is misnamed.  Terrorists are a police problem.  The military is not geared to deal with them.

I've settle for a few apartments in any American city.  Even Nixon didn't cut himself off so much from the people he was expected to represent.  I never thought I'd see loyalty oaths required to attend a speech by the president.  The Jacksonian time may have passed but there is no excuse to deliberately "encastle" the chief executive.  We decided we didn't need a king 200 years ago.

I fully agree.  Just because one has the biggest sledgehammer on the block does not make it the tool of choice for dealing with a mouse infestation.

No - that's much too soft - put him on the front lines -
i've always believed that wars should be held as Olympics - let each country battle with each other through Olympic feats - but that probably is way too humane for the likes of Bush wack.

Did anyone else get to watch President Bush's press conference this morning?  He actually made it through the whole thing with only one blatantly ignorant comment (I'm not going to bring up the ten million subtle idiocies).  When asked about the upcoming senate elections he said, "You all keep trying to get me to talk about the polls.  I don't pay any attention to polls."  Smart, Dubyah.  Smart.
However, compared to his normal duck and cover press tactics I'd say he did a fair job (for him).  He actually answered some questions directly instead of skirting about them like precariously placed landmines.  I'm not pleased about his definitive answer that "he'd stay in Iraq as long as it takes.  Until the job is done," but hell, at least he formed an entire sentence without stuttering and drooling on himself.  If you caught the conference, what were your opinions?

I have no respect for anyone who supports killing other people. This includes Governor Bush (not addressing him as President because he has not yet won a U.S. Presidential election).

And what in your alternative universe leads you to draw that conclusion?

JimandAnn -> RE: Bush's Press Conference (3/22/2006 11:29:50 AM)

I'm going to catch a lot of crap for this but I have to speak up... What the hell does this political comment have to do with this lifestyle and how does it benefit anyone? This is a BDSM lifestyle site not the Democratic National Comittee site...eveyone has opinions about politics but is this the proper place to air them? I don't think so.

AnnorJim -> RE: Bush's Press Conference (3/22/2006 11:45:48 AM)

As an addenum...Yes I do know this message board is "Off Topic"... however just realize that you are doing to these fine VOLUNTEER soldiers what they did to us in Vietnam...the only difference is that I had to wait 3 weeks to find out I was a baby killer...these troops hear it instantly

valiantpirate -> RE: Bush's Press Conference (3/22/2006 11:53:26 AM)

Dont compare non presidential support as the same for the troops.  The extreme right wing wraps itself in the flag and says anyone who isnt with us 100 percent is a diviant draft dodging unpatriotic slime.  I support the troops and want them home..

MasterOwnskitty -> RE: Bush's Press Conference (3/22/2006 11:53:41 AM)

"And what in your alternative universe leads you to draw that conclusion?"

The alternative universe known as a democratic society where the people elect the President, not the Supreme Court or those with power.

You need to retake your civics course.  You know,  you'll never win a meaningful election again if you can't bring reason and clarity to the debate.
