MasterK13 -> Iron masks (1/6/2010 3:39:09 PM)

Are they used in BDSM? What are the danger's of using them on a sub/slave? How long can or should they be kept on?

mnottertail -> RE: Iron masks (1/6/2010 3:42:11 PM)

well, if they get an itchy nose and you itch it, aren't they topping from the bottom?
reference length of time check with Alexander Dumas, he wrote a book on it.

Victor Hugo

They should only be used if your sub is actually your twin who you are attempting to keep from ruling France... oh wait... that's the book isn't it?

Anyway... I would suspect that the dangers are the same as any other mask. With the depersonalization of losing the face, you run the risk of hitting harder than you started out meaning to. If the mask is made improperly, the person wearing it may have trouble breathing. If they have some sort of metal allergy, you'll need to be careful of that. In regards to how they can wear it, as long as they can breath properly and aren't having any sort of skin reaction to the metal or emotional response to being masked... I'd assume several hours at least.

If they are used or not... *shrugs* If you use one than it's being used in BDSM. I know a guy who uses rubber chickens to beat on people.

I'll grab the popcorn, this sounds like a story worth hearing.

AquaticSub -> RE: Iron masks (1/6/2010 3:52:44 PM)

I haven't actually seen it, sadly, but he and I chatted about it once. When I think about it, I completely buy that it would hurt. It would be a great mind fuck. Hell Val spanked me the other night with an altoids can that we had near the bed!

That fucker hurt...

[sm=duel.gif] Good one, AquaticSub!

Be careful not to cook her head on the stove, mistaking it for a cast iron pan while her head is within.

AquaticSub -> RE: Iron masks (1/6/2010 3:54:47 PM)

Now I need to see the movie 3 Musketeers and The Man in the Iron Mask. But I remember being sorely disappointed as a kid that the latter wasn't as funny as the former and that they had taken bits out of the movie that they had shown in the previews.

I'm sure metal masks can be used but this is what you see most often being used:

AquaticSub -> RE: Iron masks (1/6/2010 6:10:58 PM)

That looks like something out of an old sci-fi movie.

vincentML -> RE: Iron masks (1/6/2010 6:17:37 PM)

Has that Martian effect.

Aside from that, could you imagine banging on it with a iron hammer? Yikes!

LOL!!!!

Actually I wouldn't do well with masks - the claustrophobic anxiety attack would kill us both.  I don't like stuff over my face.  I get all whacked out every time he pulls the covers up too high.  Wimp.

UniqueRaven -> RE: Iron masks (1/6/2010 10:11:27 PM)

i have very sensitive skin on my face.  A metal mask would leave me covered with large red burning welts that would take a week or two to go away (after they swelled up, dried up, peeled off, and then flaked away, possibly leaving scars).  This would happen after about 10 minutes.

i also am very sensitive to metals in earrings - i would offer that if a sub has sensitive ears, she just might be sensitive to a metal mask as well.  [:)]

Hope this helps.

and i thought christmas was over!

kiwisub12 -> RE: Iron masks (1/7/2010 1:59:14 PM)

I was thinking rust stains in the hair. It would be hard to get out too.

Heck, if the sub can tolerate the weight - leave them in it and see what happens.

As long as they aren't allergic or vampires or fairies, then i would think blisters from the rubbing would be the worst thing to happen - other than rust stains in the hair of course.
