Hi I joined the site recently and I was gonna do a set of pictures to put on my profile, does anyone have any ideas about whats the best pics to put on there?

Probably the most important thing to consider would be putting up photos that you are comfortable for the whole world to see. Asking for opinions is great but you'll probably end up getting so many different ideas of what the photos' content should be that you'll likely end up confused. So, whatever you put up, make sure you feel comfortable in so doing.

Having stated that, you might think about making a series of photos showing you involved in one or two interests you have in this lifestyle. If you're into bondage, and have the ability and photo partner to pull it off, put some photos up of your bondage skills. Think along those lines.

If you'd rather not go that route, perhaps a series of photos showing you involved in an interest or two with your mainstream life; any hobbies that you enjoy, etc.

Basically, anything that shows the part of your personality that you'd like to present and are comfortable with. It's your ad space so make the most of it.

I always like pictures that show a pic of your personality and your hobbies. But honestly, a clear picture of you that reflects how you look in good lighting is really all you need.

i think one thing that most men don't realize is what is going on in the background of their pics.

If i see a nice face, but behind him i see dirty clothes, a basement laundry hanger, an XBox or a Wii, empty beer bottles, a strip club booth, a rotting recliner in the front yard, a pit bull sitting IN the rotting recliner in the front yard, an official D&D wizard robe (or whatever), dirty dishes, Playboy centerfolds on the wall, his Mom, or, well, anything on this thread, i have room for concerns.

It doesn't matter what you look like at that point.  Find a neutral place for a pic, the park, a public place, your work even, and take a pic that portrays who you really are.  [:)]

i left out the pit bull playing xBox/Wii sitting in the rotting recliner in the front yard.  That's the trifecta.

Lol, I've been at CM for 5 years and I still can't find my own pictures in my profile. Apparently others can view them but I can only ever find the primary pic. So make the most of whatever your best pics may be - you might struggle to find them later....

That person is being facetious. I was about to say that myself, just for fun. But, really? I like pictures of people's faces! The majority of the posts here I would agree with. Being a submissive female, it would not occur to me to but a picture of bare breasts on here, because i am not looking for the majority of Doms that would respond to that. A picture i feel should reflect a good image of your face. Clutter be gone in the background for sure, since clutter speaks a lot about your mind to me.

If you enjoy bike riding, then a picture of you in your gear and bike would work great.  If you ski take a picture of you at the ski resort.  If you garden a picture of you watering or weeding would work.  THAT is what is meant when someone says pictures of things outside of kink. 

Personally I find a naked picture a HUGE turn off and have never chatted seriously with anyone with that kind of picture.  If you are more into kink than into relationships, then go ahead and post that nude pic.  However if that's your thing you are probably better off to go the pro route and most pros will not care what you look like, clothed or naked.

Depends on the sort of person you're looking to attract. For example, I'm an artsy chick, so I like something that speaks to that. It doesn't have to be as dramatic as mine, just interesting. NihilusZero's pic is a good example.  That's just me though...

Remember that most women are not as visually wired as men tend to be. Naked pics, therefore, are usually best saved until a lady asks to see them.

My personal view is that elegance is always good. What makes you look the most handsome, the most interesting? What reflects the person that you are inside? What do you do with the other 20+ hours in a day you are not copulating?

A better way of looking at this question is what kind of person do you want to attract to your profile?

As a general rule, I assume that the more naked a person is in their photo, the more likely they're looking for no strings play partners. The more posed a photo, the more I think they're looking for a good first impression. The more casual  photos, I think they're looking for someone to share their life with.

People with drawings, essentially the same thing; this is who they want to portray themselves as. Someone silly, or serious, or romantic, or near pornographic.

Personally, I like the ones with busy backgrounds, it gives me a good idea of what they really are like, what interests them, what they keep around them.

But WHATEVER you do, under no circumstances post a photo of a parlor. That does not work on any level.
