Why do you think my former sub is going to beauty school...I love him and all of that, but the schooling is appealing to his fem side.

So what ever happened? Did the poor kid ever get her cake?

I trust it wasn't this one.

Ha...no DC it wasn't that cake.
I'm uploading the pics as I type.
My girls loved the cake. I simplified it tremendously and it fed about fifty people with a little left over.

Pretty!!

AsmodaisSin -> RE: Fondant Questions (1/25/2010 9:04:09 AM)

That's definitely super cute.  I second the idea of doing ganache.  I did a Grand Marnier white ganace a while ago.  It was lovely.  You can also do something like a raspberry or bubblegum flavored white ganache.  Chocolate ganache is great as well.  It's just a bitch some times because once it sets...it sets.  When I worked at Cold Stone and made the cakes, you had to work fast and know exactly what you were doing.

Aileen1968 -> RE: Fondant Questions (1/25/2010 9:17:43 AM)

It was a double party for both of my daughters. Their birthdays are only a few weeks apart and the family and friends appreciate us combining them.
They loved the cake and it even tasted yummy. It was heavy as hell. Probably fifteen pounds.
