"A Good Day"
By Bob Perks

It was a good day.

Some of you can't begin to imagine how
significant that is. You might be
thinking, "So, What? What's so great
about a day that is just good? I have
a lot of good days."

Some of you haven't seen a "good day"
in a long time. You may be struggling
with life, with finances, with health
issues or relationships.

One person wakes up and says, "Good morning
God!"

The other wakes up and says, "Good God,
morning!"

I have been in both places.. I have awakened
and felt like the world was all mine. I
was grateful for the opportunity to
experience another day and eager to do all
that I could to make it good.

I have also cursed the day and wished that God
had not given me another chance. I often prayed
that God would just end my life.

So, what's the difference?

In reality it is just a page on a calendar.
It's just 24 hours, a sweep of the hands on
a clock.

Today really is no different than yesterday
and the same as tomorrow.

The only thing that makes it good or bad is
perception.

Your perception is your reality.

When you wake up in the morning you begin
to choose how that day will turn out. From the
very second you open your eyes until you
close them at the end of the day, you make
small choices as to how you see what is before
you.

During that 24 hours it's not what happens to you
it's how you choose to react to what happens.

You take from the day and you give to it.

What you get is a reflection of what you give.

So, what have you chosen?

I have decided that tomorrow will be good, too..

Because I will work to make it so.

It is my life and no one Else's.

I will not give my time away unless it will benefit
another.

Not a minute nor a second will be
consumed by hatred, anger, despair, fear,
or anyone trying to steal it from me.

It was a good day and it was mine.

So, how was your day?
"I wish you enough!"
