Greetings

The chain mailish collar is just beautiful. Where did you get it.

I wish you well

I don't know if they are popular over where you are but in America if you hit up any Ren Fair, you can probably find someone to make that for you. Just look for the chain maille bras. I have a similiar item a friend made for me except it's a full collar and leash. [:)]

~Fast Reply~

My collar is a necklace that Valyraen picked out because the designs on it match the wedding band we picked out for me. [:)]

Greetings

There are not so many Renaissance fairs in Norway, there are some fantasy fairs though which often have chain mail and armor stuff, and there might be some Renaissance fairs that I do not know about. Thank you for the idea.

I wish you well

AquaticSub -> RE: What does your collar look like? (1/9/2010 11:04:37 AM)

You are quite welcome. If they have chain mail, you'll probably be able to get it done. From my brief experience working a ren fair and knowing some folks who make and sell their pieces, they make their living on the small items - like collars and not the big stuff like armor.

sweetsub1957 -> RE: What does your collar look like? (1/9/2010 11:57:46 AM)

Mine was a black leather collar with red stitching, and flat silver studs.  He was going to get me a gold chain with matching lock, but we never did it due to His death.

~edited to add~
I was going to try adding a picture of it, but it didn't work.  I guess I don't know how.

ETA I have a bunch of collars to wear fashionably, but as far as a symbol of submission goes, well, it's not a piece of leather.

The one there is a picture of below is very beautiful to. Is it made of silver and leather?

Yes, it is very nice and looks like silver and leather.

submissiveboy76 -> RE: What does your collar look like? (1/10/2010 8:17:06 AM)

Well, I'm wearing it in my profile picture.  Now, if only a Domme would attach a leash and take the key to that lock on the front.

It looks rather good on you ... you wear it well. I have embedded a picture of one that I bought for a male of mine in the past. From SBlades, www.sblades.com

This is it, including the little brass padlocks. It's really well broken in after 4 years. I asked if she would like a nicer newer but she prefers to keep the original. So be it.

Oh, well. the picture attachment thing seemed pretty straight forward the first time I used it. Leave it to Collar Me. Anyway, it's a plain black leather strap with D rings on the front and sides and a D ring style locking affair in the rear.

No. If you attach a pic to a cmail the upload box comes up after you hit send. Here in the forums you have to attach the file before you hit send and you don't get a chance during the edit function. I don't attach pics to forum posts enough to keep the two straight. It was operator error. It would also be sweet if I did not have to click every link three times to maneuver this site.

Any of the Viking Markets (Hafrsfjord, Borre, Gudvangen, etc., or similar markets in Ribe, DK or Foteviken in Sweden) will have at least one vendor doing butted chainmail. Show them that picture and I will bet they will negotiate a price.

However, butted 4-in-1 chainmail is insanely easy to make.

sblady -> RE: What does your collar look like? (1/10/2010 2:22:44 PM)

Sir originally wanted me to wear a collar. However, my job is somewhat conservative and most collars would be a bit much. Although we could have opted for a simple necklace, He decided on The Ring of O (which I love). I've received a few questions/comments regarding the significance of the ring and answered truthfully; that I have a power exchange relationship with Jon. More often than not, my co-workers think I'm joking. [:D]

I would like a collar to wear when I'm not at work, however, this has not been discussed.

lizi -> RE: What does your collar look like? (1/10/2010 4:15:12 PM)

It was pink leather with spiky studs and rhinestones.
