I am sick of them!! I have had it! Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So...i have been plotting and scheming...planning on how to best get even every freaking doofus who decides to enlighten us, the idiots of CollarMe, that there are scammers on the internet.

Gonna send 'em on a date with Osf.

Your idea's?

Gee, Holly, maybe if the people who run CM would actually DO something about all the BS there wouldn't be so damn-many threads complaining about the fakes, scammers, etc. Since profile and e-mail complaints are NOT reviewed by actual people ya gotta wonder what it takes to get someone removed.

In all honesty, it seems to have gotten worse in the last few months. I used to get 1 or 2 scam e-mails per month (I know, I'm just not that popular) but lately I'm seeing 1 or 2 per day. I'm sure that's low by comparrison - I can't imagine the numbers a popular profile gets.

Here's a thought: maybe the CM overloads (they do all they can to remain anonymous) could spend a day once in a while looking into some of these complaints and, oh, I dunno, ACT on them?!

But seriously, folks, complaining about people who complain? If enough of us complain, maybe something will be done.

Hey Mods, how about this: can we have a place to call-out the profiles we feel are fake and show our reasons why? Then you could do what you do so well.

Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong...

it could be that the mods are tired of working for free?

Maybe we should have an annual fundraiser. Something truly classy and in the style of CM...

A NUDIE CALENDER! I volunteer for October, December, February or a beach-y month.

DesFIP -> RE: SCAMMER THREADS... (1/10/2010 5:25:41 AM)

But Dave, half the types complaining about fakes are actually saying that they're owed free sex by the first female they write to. And that a prodomme, who lists herself openly as pro is a scammer because she won't do his laundry list of activities to him for free.

A couple who complain that we're all fakes because they've been here exactly two weeks and can't find a third, when their profile and journal show them to be horrors at conducting relationships don't qualify as people who can tell the difference between a fake and someone turning them down.

If they would use some brains they wouldn't be seeing only scammers and pros. I mean really, a 65 year old man who admits he has had several d/s relationships and couldn't make any of them last, who only searches for a girl young enough to be his granddaughter isn't going to find anyone interested in being with him for himself. Especially when he's shown repeatedly that who he really is isn't someone anyone could respect.

Ahhh.... the sophistication of the CM ladies...

rockspider -> RE: SCAMMER THREADS... (1/10/2010 5:49:21 AM)

What do you want to do about the scammers and fakes? If you cloose their profiles it is up Ășnder another ID the next day. I find them no more anoying than a bunch of flies on a hot summerday. Most of them are so transparent you spot them in seconds. Some it takes a few minutes and never had i had one who had lasted for any length of time. The moment they want me to take out the creditdard it is over. Block and delete. I fail to see the big problem here. Is there any on here who actually have send them money as it what they are all about. i certainly never have done that, not even considered it.

MsLadySue -> RE: SCAMMER THREADS... (1/10/2010 5:53:33 AM)

Oh my, that's what I call cruel and unreasonal punishment even for a scammer/fake. [sm=yourock.gif]

ThatDaveGuy69 -> RE: SCAMMER THREADS... (1/10/2010 6:22:12 AM)

I know of a couple of sites that block IP addresses. It can be overkill, and there are ways around it, but it does a pretty good job of keeping the serial-idiots at bay.

And yeah, I just LOVE the noobs who've been here all of 5 minutes and declare the whole place is nothing but fakes and liars. I still maintain that if CM would publish their ownership it would foster more trust. But hey, what do I know - I'm not running (and hiding behind) an advertiser-supported adult web site.

But I digress...
I kind of enjoy some of the scammer-types: I have a couple-dozen addresses in my spam-bait list from people who wanted to chat elsewhere in the 1st e-mail. I go with it and see how long before they want me to open a FaceBook, MySpace, etc account for them or sign-up on some pay-per-view cam-site. I also love how every-other sub I meet who claims to live near me is actually stuck in some foreign land because her master died suddenly and left her with no way to take care of herself. And if only I would send her a plane ticket she would be mine forever and ever. Sure, honey, let me get right on that for you... Another obvious sign is the Native American who can't type a proper sentence. And then there are the ones who claim to be in my state (IL) but have a distance greater than geography allows. You cannot live in IL and be located 800 miles away from me!

Oh well, this discussion will continue long after all of us here today have gone on to whatever comes next.

~Dave

DarkSteven -> RE: SCAMMER THREADS... (1/10/2010 6:23:57 AM)

I am active on another site which features deals.  Prior to any new thread creation, a pop-up asks basic questions like "Have you searched to verify that this deal has not already been posted here?"

I'd like something similar for collarme.  For the first five or ten times an individual starts a thread, an automatic popup will state "NOTE: We are doing our best to clean up the site.  However, there have already been too many posts complaining about the scammers/spammers/bots/fakes on the site.  Please do not post to complain about them."  You cannot start a thread until you close the popup window.

Lucienne -> RE: SCAMMER THREADS... (1/10/2010 6:35:40 AM)

I'm not sure my suggestion is of how to get even with them, but if I wanted to be mean I suppose I could cmail with one in detail about all the things I like to do then arrange a face to face meeting and explain to him the assorted reasons he's a real live unsuitable partner.

Give them a taste of "real" rejection and they'll find new appreciation for the scammers and fakes.
