What I would like to know is why are there no Brit Pols for us to poke fun at? Are they so boring or are we (USA) citizens so self-absorbed with our own? And what does it all mean for the futre of Iceland anyway?

Not sure thats altogether in good taste Phil; she's in psych care, he's absolutely destroyed personally.

Although its true enough, if you want British politicians to poke fun at, you cant go wrong with some of the unionist fascists from N Ireland. Is it a coincidence that this lot are also fully paid up members of God's hit squad?

....sorry, but after years, decades even, of watching Unionists do all they can to sabotage the peace process in Ulster i don't have any sympathy for any of them.

You're including Boris "the peroxide Spode" Johnson, Nick "I used to be in C18" Griffin and Tony "I used to be the chimp's bitch" Blair in that, are you?
You'd do a lot better accusing people of being socialists if the people you were talking about actually leaned to the left a bit, instead of just being slightly less enchanted with feudalism than whichever monetarist dickhead you elected last. You could even read some Marx or Engels so that you had a clue what you were talking about.

She also thinks we roamed the earth with the dinosaurs.

Before they embraced socialized medicine and died out.

Sure they did, son. The Bible says so. They didn't call them "dinosaurs" back then, but instead they were known as "leviathans" or "behemoths".
But, my science teacher says dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. Is that true?
Of course not, son.
Then how old are they?
Well, let's see. The Bible tells us [from Adam and Eve's family tree] that the Universe is only a few thousand years old. So dinosaurs had to have lived within the past few thousand years. That's simple logic, son.
Oh. So that means they were on Noah's Ark?
Absolutely! The Bible says two of every animal were brought [by God] to the ark. Dinosaurs were animals. So, using your logic again son, dinosaurs had to be on the ark.
Huh. So how come scientists say they're older than that? and died way before Jesus?
Well, son, they just make that up. Dinosaur bones don't have labels on them to tell how old they are. In fact, there is no proof whatsoever that the world and its fossil layers are millions of years old. No scientist saw dinosaurs die-
Dad!
No I'm serious. Scientists only find the bones in the here and now, and because many of them are evolutionists, they try to fit the story of the dinosaurs into their view.
That's sad. But I thought scientists were smart?
Sure, but they don't know everything. So they have to make stuff up to fit their beliefs. While you and I, we have the facts, straight from the Bible.
I don't want to be a scientist!

You mean like this??  Gee isn't wonderful what we are teaching kids today.  This is from a museum in Louisville, it's part of a coloring book they sell

I want one of those colouring books! Damn but it makes Jesus cool, sat astride a dinosaur. Presumably it must have eaten the donkey that was his preferred means of transport.

Mind you it does make me wonder why Hannibal bothered with elephants, when he had the option of dinosaurs.

There's a paint colour called "flesh of christ"? I wonder if that's an acryllic: I could use it to paint Warhammer demons...

Warhammer, at your age MH?

There must be something sacrilegious about a paint with that name I'm thinking, what with the meaning ascribed in the last supper (allegedly), so it would seem a good choice for your demons perhaps.

It's years since I've played any Warhammer. For some reason that was just the first thing that sprang to mind when I thought of a paint called flesh of Christ. Funny that. Still, it's probably a watercolour anyway.

Last time I played was about two years ago when my son took an interest in it but couldnt follow the rules. Took me a few hours to work it out. Then the little sod beat me, over and over. For all the complexity of those rules, they didnt seem to bear much resemblance to actual combat, battle strategy etc. Every historical strategy I used - stuff that worked for Spartans, Athenians, Romans, Vikings, Zulus, Normans et al - failed utterly.

I noticed that Palin is now going to have a show on Fox news.  At least she wont have to "dumb down" her act to connect with her audience like some of the others are alleged to have done.

I suppose the historical models might not work very well for armies with demons, wizards and steampowered tanks. Still, at least he got the hang of the rules...

Personally I cant stand the woman. But, make no mistake, and dont underestimate her. She isnt dumb by any stretch. Intelligent, no... but definitely not dumb. IF she ever wises up and gets someone who can truly handle her politically... we are screwed.

Until such time as somebody in the press says something nasty about her and she quits, at least.
It'd be amusing to hear the excuses the Republicans come out with for flip flopping on that "no experience" story they've been whining about since the last election as well.
