You are correct.  There is no word for feeling embarassed by the actions of others...Hence the term "frempsing."

A good frempsing moment occurs in the movie "Swingers" when John Favreau calls back a woman on the same night after getting her number.  A total train wreck, makes your skin crawl as he makes you feel so uneasy and embarassed by his actions.

Status: offline 		I think its a matter of sensitivity. I wouldnt tell a black joke to a black person as a non black. If its a touchy subject, its best to not go there.
A holocaust joke makes me uncomfortable. Its a senstive subject and Im sensitive about it. I think people should try to be funny, but we do have to have filters and respect for the audience's feelings.

Earlier in this thread it was posited that ethnic folks can make fun of there own selves, but others shouldn't.

I disagree with that, but if you take it at face value, you have no right to be offended by black folks making fun of black folks.

I love frempsing. And I agree, that was a squick worthy scene. Not "money" at all.

The true and tried fall back of the honkey...The ever important mythical "black friend."  At least you have elevated this art form by raising the bar by making your black friend a "best friend."
