hello all... i just came to  this site ...bdsm is very new to me i think i have always liked the bdsm lifestyle but never acted on my feels my question is how can i meet a dominant woman who is serious about meeting a sub i,m not looking for quick sex or just to get off .. can somone tell me how to go about doing this without all the game?

sunshinemiss -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 12:12:51 PM)

There is a search feature in the upper right hand corner.  You may want to try looking there.  Also, Stephann wrote a very good post about this.  You can find it here.

Good luck.

OP,

Just a couple suggestions.  While you offer a good photo, you might want to consider adding something more about yourself besides your stats to your profile.  I would also consider dropping all the "expert" and "beginner" tags ( I'm curious how one becomes an expert at walking but we can leave that to the imagination).

I'm wondering what you mean by "being real" and "doing this without all the game".  If you want to be real, go to a munch and meet people.  If you don't want games...don't play them or stand form them.

Have a look here... http://www.drkdesyre.com/meetppl/calendar.html for munches and groups in your area.

I am an expert in receiving a massage. That means I can stay awake though most of it.

The options are just worded poorly. "Experienced" would have been a better choice, but I think the idea still gets across.

Agreed but I think sometimes you can get a bit slap-happy about chosing to be a beginner in way too many things.  Kink-wise it would make sense to be upfront about experience, I guess, but that can also be discussed.  To say you're a beginner at things like garage sales and SCA seems a bit too much...in my opinion.

I still want to know what it takes to be an "expert" in walking. [;)]

Looks like I have a ways to go then before being considered an expert as I tend to fall asleep during a massage.  Good thing I'm getting one tomorrow...practice makes perfect!

sunshinemiss -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 1:50:33 PM)

Now, I see the whole "expert" at walking is someone who goes on long hikes (say through the Appalachians)... without the gear, without staying over night.  You know, 8 to ten hour walkers.

But I am a weirdo.

Domin8tingUrDrmz -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 1:54:30 PM)

I always thought an *expert walker* was one who could do it without tripping on the invisible carpet fibers and stubbing their pinky toes. [:D]

ETA: RE the topic of the OP, I just read the link sunshinemiss provided and it does indeed go into depth about how to seek out a woman on this site. It's very down to earth and fairly accurate for, dare I say, most of the women here - both Dominant and submissive.

CarrieO -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 1:54:38 PM)

But there's a "hiking" choice offered under interests.

And yes...you are a weirdo but that's ok 'cause I can relate.

Well, that leaves me out of the expert category there too.  If you note my signature line...I'm working on that!

Domin8tingUrDrmz -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 1:59:42 PM)

I have a lot of work to do in becoming an expert walker myself...lol. Those damn invisible fibers get me everytime!

is there any question about my expertise in receiving blowjobs? there isnt a box for that though.

bondmaid123 -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 2:11:17 PM)

I think a lot of time there's no winning with the tags.... if you only fill out a few, you get slammed for not being more thorough...
If you're too thorough, you get slammed for being too verbose. [:D]  You can't please everybody!

afterforever -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 2:12:34 PM)

I agree, the invisible fibres are the clicher for expert walker status. I once walked for 3 hours through the baking hot desert on the outskirts of the Serengeti, herding a goat, wrapped head to toe in 3 tartan shawls and about 3kg of beaded jewelry, with 1 litre of water plus anything I could find on the way that didn't look like wet mud, never tripped once.

And I still fell over my feet this morning when I got out of bed. I try to blame it on the kittens, but it's hard when my bedroom door is closed.

windchymes -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 2:16:28 PM)

"Expert" walkers are ones who can simultaneously chew gum.  If you can also operate a yoyo, then that's just fucking off the charts. [8|]

Jeffff -> RE: being real (1/14/2010 4:02:49 PM)

There was a time I was an expert in the walk of shame.

Sadly those days are behind me.

the "expert" and "beginner" tags

When I make my loves/likes/curious about list, I just do the list and don't put Expert/Beginner, etc on them.  It's way easier that way.  [;)]

First you have to get a subscription to a walking magazine, so that you can stay abreast of all the latest developments in walking.

Next you'll want to join a walking association, perhaps even become a club president.

Do that, and you can add an expert tag next to your interest in walking.

Yeah see, i'm just not gonna do all that shit..... i'll just buy my ass a life alert, so i can call someone when i fall, from not being an expert at walking.[:D]
