it would cost a fortune to ship the car over though - better to fly I think and then hire something tasty. Or possibly, steal a Ferrari in New York and get chased all the way to Oregon? As long as the cops have to fuel up about the same time, it should work out.

For such pursuits, most departments use high performance runners, such as Mustangs, Camaros, etc. Depending upon what you're driving, though, they may break out of their confiscated inventory a Porsche, Jaguar, or other such exotic to match yours.

Yeah, you might get caught but for as long as the pursuit lasted, both you and whoever's chasing you would probably have a grand time.

And that after all, is all that matters isnt it?

Now, does anyone happen to know the street address of a Bugatti Veyron owner in say, NY, Philadelphia, Boston and environs?

If you come to America for this, it's only right that you heist an American car. I suggest something with a bigblock. They are alot heavier but have the torque to make up for it. The feeling of power is awesome.

If maneuverability is important to you, you could find a 70 Toronada W34 edition. Seems like you almost can't break traction. You could be doing 60 and just whip the wheel. There are probably about six viable candidates in the US, down from eight because I wrecked two of them.

What's more you don't have to worry about the cops, you can simply push the whole roadblock out of your way. Any mishaps ? You will drive away and they will not. The thing is a tank.

If you come to play you might as well get a gun as well. The Toronado came stock with power windows so those pesky people in the way can be shot from either side of the car. Automatic transmission is also stock, which leaves one hand for shooting. They thought of everything.

There are other cars that can be fun, but the Toro has that special suspension. When you aim it, it is aimed. Even if you run over a couple of VWs you still hit the target.

sounds like a heck of a recommendation T; bit concerned its never been done on Top Gear but maybe I should pass it on?

in the meantime, GTA Vice City will have to do me for drive-bys in fast cars I suppose.

LE, they can't get one to put on TV. You might buy one for thirty grand, but nobody who owns one will let it out of their sight. If I still had mine I wouldn't.

You can find some pics and specs on the net. This was the most decadent car I've ever seen. Everything was overdone, overbuilt and possibly overpriced at ten grand back in 1970.

I liked it alot.

never underestimate Top Gear T; quite how they do it I dont know but it seems they can get hold of any car they want if they wish to feature it. Its odd really, in that many of the cars they feature are the sort that start at the same price as a 4 bed house and range up to the millions, which most of the viewers will never be able to buy, so you have to wonder what is in it for the manufacturers to loan such vehicles.
