Since on my diet, I rarely drink beer, although I do love it.

I would regularly buy Sam Adams or Fat Tire Ale.  Sierra Pale Ale was always too bitter for me.

Anchor Steam gets my vote.

The tastiest beer surprise I've had was when I was in Virginia - Magic Hat Brewing Company's "Magic Hat #9" which is an apricot infused beer which was incredible with the spicy "She Crab Soup" I had (if I'm remember the soup name correctly).  Can't get Magic Hat here...sniff sniff...maybe some day.

Are you sure?.. I have had a Magichat. it was too sweet for me. It might have been #9

It has made it this far west.

#9 was definitely sweet.  Probably why it was so good with my spicy food.  I might not have otherwise liked it so much.  As far as I've seen, they're not in California yet.

I have tried the most of the mainstream american beers and i find them as exiting as chemical waste. However i wouldn't discount the microbreweries over there as here, where they are springing up all over, some of them is making some real good stuff. Ok others is sometimes going a bit ape on being way out. That produces stuff which i hardly will call beer. If you are a real beer aficionadi you have to visit Belgium. Must be the beer drinkers equivalent to the catholics vatican. Man, those guys can make stuff that makes the angels sing. Slurp
The Czech's not bad either. A visit to Prague not complete without some good pints everyday

There's a brewery in Stoke (Titanic) that does a really nice stout (Titanic Stout). They aren't blessed with a gift for names, but they do a very good beer.

I agree with Katy. I like wine, champagne and tequila. Not all at once though.

Edited because I fell for the anteater's impersonation of osf!!

Don't EVEN attempt to tell me what to do, osf. LOL

You are not the right sort of "Dominate" for me; I need one who is more into women and less into geese and obviously, one who wears better footwear.

I'm a fan of the "Cider" type beer.
(Is that beer???)

I had a very nice one recently -- Magner's Irish Cider based with apples.

I like WoodChuck, the apple flavor as well.

Next time we go to the bar, I want to try Sea Dog Bluepaw Wheat Ale made with blueberries.  Sounds interesting!

I prefer sweet, and can't drink anything with a sour after taste.

*preparing myself for the loud guffaws and boos from the purists and connoisseurs*

I've recently become a huge fan of Wild Blue Blueberry Lager.  Obviously, it's not a traditional beer, and the taste runs a little more toward wine cooler, but only slightly, and it's really not that sweet.  I'm hooked on the stuff, and, at 8% by volume, it's a great bedtime buzz.

Red beer in the morning. Perfect for a hangover. Take your favorite beer. Add some tomato juice, tabasco and cracked pepper. Yum
Working man's bloody mary.

It is  the only time American swill passes throught these Domly lips...If I'm kind of well hung from the night before...Beer and tomato juice.  Heard it called a red rooster, red eye or the ol' foamy period.
