Thank you so much for the many hours of entertainment your books have provided for me and so many others. You were most well known for your Spenser series. They were so good that there was a long-running tv show based on those books.

You wrote so many different kinds of books, but they all had one thing in common, and that was your witty, tongue in cheek style.

It's not really surprising that a writer as prolific as you died at your desk, probably doing what you love. We'll miss you Mr. Parker, your style was one of a kind...

Oh, yeah, that's sad. At one point I read all those Spenser books, they're a lot of fun. Love those quixotic-knight detectives . . .. . . .

Ah...missed it. I thought I looked good too. Mod, please feel free to merge this thread with the other one. I notice they both got so much attention...

(I really felt like I lost a best friend. I mean if I'm looking for a book, and there's a new Robert B. Parker, I'm there! Well, unless there's a new book in the Odd series, or the Wicked series... or the Vampire Hunter series...)

The Odd Thomas series kicks ass!

Christina, same here; I never could wait for his books to be made into paperbacks, or even to get one to read from the library, I had to go out that day and buy it.

Whether it was Spenser, Sunny Randall, Jesse Stone, the westerns, whatever; I loved his work.
