Here is the problem Hunky -
the world sucks, its a blatantly unfair place where some have much, many have some and even more have little or nothing. it is human nature (which you may or may not describe as evil) that says that those at the top would prefer to stay there and will do all that they can to do so, according to the power they may draw on.
what we have is not a gigantic world conspiracy, but the cumulative effects of millions of the most advantaged each doing all in their power to stay on top, faced not only with changing circumstances but also the competition of the rest in trying to remove them and replace them. and further down the pile we see the same cumulative effects, of billions this time, to the same end. there is no one in charge, still less anyone who has control - for if that were the case then we'd all know about it - because even at the top its a fight for survival.
it is also human nature to try to make sense of this chaos, to try to understand and form patterns that will discern order out of it. and this is where I see you are - a bright guy trying to make sense of it all, but coming to the wrong conclusions, making the wrong connections between people and events, forming a pattern that settles your idea of order from it. and as youve found, youre not alone in drawing conclusions that are so indicative of some guiding hand - that simply isnt there, and in its obvious absence provides fertile ground for all manner of conspiracy theories which yes can fit the facts, yes can be entertaining and satisfying, but are regrettably quite unfounded.
