Put an end to the endless environmental regulations and tax increases and some of these jobs might come back on our shore. The reason they left is to make more money for shareholders. Lets give them an insentive to come back home.

BBBUUUUUULLLLLLLLLL SSSSSSHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTT!sorry, it's just when I read this kind of crap it makes a vessel in my neck twitch.

the fact is that you could flush all the environmental regulations down the toilet and give all the tax breaks in the world to every entrepreneur in america to hire here and it'd still be cheaper to hire SOME ONE ELSE FOR LESS. I mean did you even notice what kind of jobs we're talking about right now, or did you see the word overseas and just assume it's because some bad nasty hippy is scaring the poor old businessmen away.
yeah, tech jobs and phone operators have soo much environmental regulations lol
and the taxes they pay(which I don't know if you've noticed, but most taxes are taken out of your checks and mine as opposed to employers payroll accounts) are a small percentage compared to what they save by hiring some one WHO WORKS FOR LESS, and yeah, they pay taxes on their income too I'm guessing, not that it matters cause I don't know if your following this, but THEY WORK FOR LESS!

A state can pulls a charter of a corporation.   It seldom happens- but there is a mechanism in place.

At the end of the day, a lot of what you are saying is true.
Why the hell should you pay a software engineer 100K plus benefits,
when you can pay a software engineer 20K in India?
Hell you can pay 4 over there for the price of 1 here.
A lot of this wonderful "globalization" shit means you are competing

with people in India, and in 3rd world countries.

Hello? are the lights on? Is anyone home?
Do you fucking know what time it is?

These companies left for a reason. MONEY.. We could bring them back. Incentives to come back on shore.

LadyEllen -> RE: Recession/Depression in USA? India BOOMING with U.S. Contracts! (1/21/2010 7:40:37 PM)

What incentives? Have the taxpayer cover 80% of the payroll, plus all the other stuff you mentioned?

ummm...I don't know, LOWER WAGES!lol, it's the main drive behind alot of the move since the 80's, shit, my uncle lost his job with dell back in 98 cause they were able to hire some one in india for about a third the cost

when you combine the loss of our tech jobs with the loss of our manufacturing(can you say sweat shops) it leaves us with little else...cept maybe retail, law enforcement and healthcare

No we actually both SEE this, it is those that can't grasp it, I wonder about.
Can we chat?
Remember what started happening in the 80s, see there was this man called Ronald Reagan.

Michael Moore has been talking about this for 25 years, he keeps it real.
