Jif1061, I respectfully disagree, bribery may have been legal grounds for arrest, but the sensationalism surrounding that arrest served an entirely different focus and course of action. Bribery in all its many forms is a common practice accepted by our government especially when dealing with international arms dealers. Gun related arrests today are not about guns any more than arrests for bribery are about shutting down one of the most practiced and accepted tools of industry. Arms manufacturers are expected to sweeten the pie especially when bidding on one of our military procurement demands. So too it follows down the entire chain of command.
