I seriously doubt that Obama or any of his people have the intelligence to pull that off. Arrogance, stupidity and contempt for the American people seems to be the bedrock of this entire administration. quote:
ORIGINAL: FirmhandKY I think that if Obama drops some of his attitude, and starts to listen and operate in a more mainstream/moderate way, he could still recover from the current political mess that he is in. Become something along the lines of a Bill Clinton "New Democrat". Absent that, then things will be pretty hairy for the current Democratic leadership in the next two elections. That isn't necessarily to say that the Republican's would overwhelmingly benefit from the situation (although they will benefit to some extent). The kicker is the Tea Party movement, and the Independent/Moderate vote, which is deserting the Dems in amazingly high numbers, and how much the Republicans can capture of that feeling. I'm not sure that either party is really capable of that. The current Republican "leadership" hasn't retain a whole lot of crediablity to that section of the electorate, either. Firm
