i have never lied about my age. I think i look pretty good at my age. If i made myself younger i wouldnt get the "no way" comments.

So, as one gets older, the sorts of people that one is attracted to is supposed to get older, as well.

What's a good solution for when they don't? What is one supposed to do when one discovers, 15 years on down, that one still only tends to find 18-24 year olds attractive?

Long as they're legal and willing, then what's the problem?

So others think you're a dirty old man. So what. Aren't you?

I am and I like being one.

My girl is 20 years younger than me, and trust me, feels pretty damned good.

As usual, Lushy is right on! [:D]

You have to love the "NO WAY!!!"

It's fun being a grandma hanging out with grands that people think are actually your children.

WulfDom -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 11:38:33 AM)

So I still find myself wanting younger g/f's and dating them, my X was 26 and so is the last lady I've seen.
the hard part for me is when you get to what you want in life, and they are still wild and having fun, which I understand.
and the long term I want ideally is hard to put into place. I like the Daddy dynamic in the relationship.

I will probablly always date someone younger, as my attraction is there, while I meet some ladies around my age attractive
I get bored sometimes, not sure what is at the bottom of this.

time will tell I guess

LaTigresse -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 12:53:51 PM)

I was just told via email on the other side, by a 25 yo, that because I am 47 I simply MUST be horribly miserable and bored with life!!

WHY did no one tell me this before???????????[:D]

Jeffff -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 12:56:22 PM)

Sucks to be you!

LaTigresse -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 12:59:01 PM)

Apparently so..... now how am I going to get this misery and boredom thing going? Cuz yanno, I better conform and all. Can't be having too much fun or be too flippin happy.........no no, that just wouldn't do.[:D]

Oh I tell ya, it's emails like that that keep me laughing and not bored.

Edited to add........I totally forget to tell you about the part where she/he really REALLY thinks they should see me in a tiger print thong. I think the odds of that happening are about as good as me getting all bored and miserable.

domiguy -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 1:01:04 PM)

I got bad news fer you bitches.  Too many people are just being nice.  You all is fairly nasty.

LaTigresse -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 1:03:44 PM)

Oh Domiguy, you can just kiss my tiger printed thong wearing, ass.......thbbbbbbbbttttttt.

Right there........see there.........yep, that's the spot!

Edited because, contrary to popular belief the ass is not tiger printed.

Jeffff -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 1:05:51 PM)

LaTigresse -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 1:15:03 PM)

If I could quit laughing so hard, in my misery and boredom, I might be able to come up with a witty reply.

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 2:53:26 PM)

I don't understand the term age-appropriate.  And I also don't understand why a Daddy has to be an older man.  My Daddy is 19 years younger than me & neither of us feels silly when I call him that.  I don't generally hang out with people my own age because they are waaaaaaay too old for me.  Daddy told me that one of the things he found attractive about me is the fact that I can no longer breed.  So there goes that theory out the window.  I have been with people my own age & even older, which means they have one foot in the grave anyway.  But I do prefer 15-25 years younger.  The older I get, the larger the age gap seems to get.

You're attracted to what you're attracted to.  As long as it's all good with all parties involved, who cares what the rest of the world thinks?

I couldn't agree more. Generally I have dated younger usually 5-10 years younger but its been as low as 20 years and I have dated women older as well. Though I may set out to look for someone younger that in no way excludes older women. Age is a number not a mind set.

ResidentSadist -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 4:52:53 PM)

Lately, as I grow older, I have found myself becoming more and more atrracked to rashy old MILFs covered in nettles.

DemonKia -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 11:23:16 PM)

FR, after read thru

Since modern humans only engage in some 2 or 3 (ish) acts of reproductive sexuality over their lives, but engage in hundreds or thousands of acts of recreational sex over that same time, it's so weird to hear the 'evolutionary argument' trotted out as justification for one's attractions . . . . It's like these much-vaunted cognitive abilities of ours go right out the window whenever it's convenient or somethin', lol . . . . .

Anyways, the young, pretty ones are attractive, but since it's a tanstaafl universe they come with a 'young, pretty premium' & those who're willing to pay it have access & those who don't, don't . . . . . Luckily, since pretty young men are quite swayed by intelligence & confidence, I get plenty of pretty young male attention . . . . . .

You apparently dont have much of a grasp on the evolutionary argument then.

DemonKia -> RE: Age-appropriate attractiveness (1/29/2010 11:46:53 PM)

Hmmmmm, evolution is changes in mortality & reproductive rates between populations over generations . . . . . . Very simple, really . . . . .

Nonetheless, people using 'evolutionary fitness stratagems' as an argument for someone's relationship issues is, again, sorta weird. Unless the argument is that the big lump o' fat between one's ears is basically useless & one is just a mindless fucktoy driven by one's genes . . . . . I do understand some are, or, at least, like to think they are . . .

& if evolutionary impulses were everything (more to my point), then no one would ever be attracted to the 'unfit' . . . . .. lol . . . . Which assumes one can even spot 'fitness' -- since I've seen some very 'conventionally attractive' people with serious heritable genetic disorders, that seems questionable assumption . . . . . .
