Obama doesn’t have the character or values to do this because he sold out but this is what needs to be done to correct/fix the Supreme Court sellouts.

Stacking the Court

WHEN a majority of Supreme Court justices adopt a manifestly ideological agenda, it plunges the court into the vortex of American politics. If the Roberts court has entered voluntarily what Justice Felix Frankfurter once called the “political thicket,” it may require a political solution to set it straight.

But the method most frequently employed to bring the court to heel has been increasing or decreasing its membership. The size of the Supreme Court is not fixed by the Constitution. It is determined by Congress.

Supreme Sellout

The Supreme Court's decision to roll back campaign-finance reform does more than just open the spigots for corporate cash. It also exposes the judicial activism of the Roberts Court.

As much as I despise the Roberts court adding 2 justices is, IMO, a bad precedent just as it was in the 30's when FDR tried it. We just have to be patient, Scalia is almost 74 he will almost certainly die or retire before 2016 and then a new court majority can undue this mess. Or someone could investigate Thomas's hincky finances and finally tie him to something illegal enough to get him impeached.

yeah, they are legislating from the bench. this is what the neo-cons descried the liberals were going to do, but ..... more arbeiten machten frei shit

uh, nobody is going to convince congress to expand the court, there is not enough popularity for it, and you cant neutralize the leaning by decreasing the size.

That was another age.

FDR

I disagree Brain; I think Obama is just about at the end of his tether with all the bullshit in the Congress and this ruling will just about tip the balance into forcing him to stop any further attempts at encouraging and prompting collegiate responses and instead into knocking heads together to get not only this ruling resolved, one way or one another, to the intention of the Constitution, but also to get his agenda through. In short, I foresee no more Mr Nice Guy.

And if he doesnt, then he certainly does not warrant another four years in office, having promised so much to change this same sort of bullshit that has now gone on uninterrupted for years. Whether he succeeds, when his opposition to such action is now so well funded, will be another matter.

what we need is quo warranto against barama, criminal charges against the justices, and an amendment for no corps or nobility involved in guberment.

that means a common law assembly/tribunal of a 25 man grand jury of sovereigns that the supreme court CANNOT over rule.

Last government count is about 30 million so I think they can find 25.

If Obama manages to stay in office for a second term ( which seems unlikely ) he can nominate his own picks for our highest court.

He may not finish his first term.  The court is to rule on his citizenship by July.

maybe some day people in america will understand if its not whiped out beforehand that that in this country WE ARE THE HIGHEST COURT!

"...at the Revolution, the sovereignty devolved on the people; and they are truly the sovereigns of the country, but they are sovereigns without subjects...with none to govern but themselves; the citizens of America are equal as fellow citizens, and as joint tenants in the sovereignty." CHISHOLM v. GEORGIA (US) 2 Dall 419, 454, 1 L Ed 440, 455 @DALL 1793 pp471-472

CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE
SECTION 54950 et seq.

54950. In enacting this chapter, the Legislature finds and declares that the public commissions, boards and councils and the other public agencies in this State exist to aid in the conduct of the people's business. It is the intent of the law that their actions be taken openly and that their deliberations be conducted openly.

The people of this State do not yield their sovereignty to the agencies which serve them. The people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know. The people insist on remaining informed so that they may retain control over the instruments they have created.

To deprive the People of their sovereignty it is first necessary to get the People to agree to submit to the authority of the entity they have created. That is done by getting them to claim they are citizens of that entity (see Const. for the U.S.A., XIV Amendment, for the definition of a citizen of the United States.)

"The very meaning of 'sovereignty' is that the decree of the sovereign makes law." American Banana Co. v. United Fruit Co., 29 S.Ct. 511, 513, 213 U.S. 347, 53 L.Ed. 826, 19 Ann.Cas. 1047.

"'Sovereignty' means that the decree of sovereign makes law, and foreign courts cannot condemn influences persuading sovereign to make the decree." Moscow Fire Ins. Co. of Moscow, Russia v. Bank of New York & Trust Co., 294 N.Y.S. 648, 662, 161 Misc. 903.

The people are the HIGHEST COURT!

In America!

You know what's really funny about the Birther's claim that he somehow lacks citizenship?

John McCain really was born abroad (as well as 4 other Presidential Candidates in the past century).

Not that facts every get in the way of a good fantasy, but Obama's mother was a US citizen. So even if he wasn't born in Hawaii but on the South Pole, Obama would still be a US citizen.

John McCain was born on a US military base, not in a hut in Africa.

Funny, though: Panamanians born in the same hospital wouldn't have been US citizens.

John McCain inherited his citizenship from his parents. As did Barack Obama regardless of where he was born.
