Yes. There are always conditions in one form or another, the most obvious being the qualities necessary in another for one to submit in the first place. After all, that's what makes consensual slavery possible. It goes without saying that the submissive party must meet many conditions as well in order to be taken in by choice. Of course, slavery by force has conditions too, foremost being the presence of the force needed to make an otherwise uncooperative victim obey. When I consider the impetus needed to serve another day after day as a slave by choice, however, many conditions become apparent, but they can all be tidily stored under good leadership. Such leadership can be fearful or loving or something crafted in between, but it is effective leadership or the failure of it in the end. You cannot escape that ultimate condition.
