Status: offline 		is it possible for a submissive to give 105%?? i've done it and was just wondering if anybody else would be able to?? or if they felt they could??

When people say they gave more than 100% it implies they have exceeded expectations. The people who have told me it's clear that I have shown a *110%* effort just have lower expectations IMO. I always try my best to give my all, but 100% is total.

I agree with Sandy on this one. Also you have to keep in consideration what might be my 100% might not be my Doms version of 100%.
So, the question should be, can anybody truly ever give 100% or 110%?

Status: offline 		How did you know it was 105%? Do you have a meter to measure it? You said in the other post that giving 105% is harder than giving 101%. How the hell can you tell the difference? Lol.

First you ask if it's possible, then state you have (or have, can and will), and then you ask if anyone else would be able to match your feat, or even felt they could?

Let's see, at 0-100% you don't feel it, and it is hard enough to give 101% (go figure), and finally that when you give 105% you feel it, but the reward is worth it (feeling it?)... that about right?

It takes NO LESS, NO MORE than 100... ie. 100% (100¢ = $1.00)

101¢ = $1.01, 105¢ = $1.05, and for the really good magicians (drumroll) 110¢ = $1.10

If you know people who will give me $1.10, $1.05, or even $1.01 for every $1.00 I give them, please have them contact me ASAP (URGENT!!!).

Sounds like the 'literal' vs. 'virtual' debate. A boy asked his Father to explain it for him as the school teacher was confusing him. The Father asked the son to go in the kitchen and ask the Mother if she would have sex with a filthy beggar for 1 million dollars, and upon his return the boy replied yes Mom would. The Father asked the son to go upstairs and ask the sister the same question, and upon his return the boy replied yes, sis would too Dad, but what does all this mean??? The Father explained, son... literally we're living here with two millionaires, but virtually we're living here with two whores.

Literally one can promise 105% (anything above 100%), and virtually one may provide any literally promised percentage above 100%, but figuratively one can only deliver 100% by giving their all... anything less, well, do the math.

Status: offline 		How is it even mathematically possible to give more than 100% of anything?

Unless you borrow from somewhere else ... i'm not seeing that as possible. Unless we are talking about a sudden increase or addition to the percentage in question, it doesn't add up.

Applied to the subject of serving as a submissive or slave, if one continues to grow and improve upon themselves, then perhaps it could seem that the possiblity may exist. In that case of having bettered oneself, there may be more to give, and even still, only 100% of that total can be offered.

And i agree with Estring, i don't see how the giving of oneself can be measured, nor how anyone can accurately compare 100% to 105% or any other amount.

If you are using the rationale that you can go over 100%, that would mean that the scale would have to be larger, and if so, then you are not up to the limit.

You cannot fill a bottle with 105% of something, which would mean you need a larger bottle, and then you could only fill that bottle 100%.

I was going to agree with you, but your analogy changed my mind. A person can give 105%, the bottle fills up and overflows. To quote the Bible, "My cup runneth over'.

The problem being... if you give 105% your checks tend to bounce

but as i was told in boot camp, you give your all..100% and then the D.I. comes along and demands another 50% to get you motivated.........SOOOOOOOOO

"I" was TRAINED by dear ole unc sammy to give 150%.

is this clear?

Status: offline 		yes you can give 105% ... of something ... but then it depends on what you are measuring. You can give 105% of an apple ... simple give one apple and then another 5% of another apple. On the other hand you cannot give 105% of your time. As far as I'm aware there are still only 24 hours in a day, so unless you have invented a time machine then 100% is the max.

You can put in 100% effort to something, but you can't put in 105% effort ... what you've done if you've achieved more is to increase your productivity, not your effort.

I think some people here need lessons in maths and economics.

I give my all to my Master every day. We're not worried about pegging a number on it. It's not about the number it's about the motivation to do your very best and try your hardest, not necessarily the numbered result.

And if you give 110% you can't sit down for a week. HAHA.. Yes, sure, you can give the excpectations and then some! But the whole number debate is lost on me.

Status: offline 		I give my best...i do my best. What matters is how i perceive myself in fulfilling that. I have days that i am not up to par, i am human. Thorns knows what i do and how i do it...all else makes no difference. Percentages are tolls being kept. Means nothing to me....but that's just me.
