About a week and a half ago I got a msg from a Domme on this site responding to my interest in photography. She asked if I was interested in shooting her in exchange for play time with my Master in her dungeon.  She was local, had a robust profile including a link to her business site.  She was also pretty attractive, and someone I'd consider working with. I'm an amateur photographer, so that's the biggest prerequisite for me, if I find you interesting and attractive. 

I mentioned it to Master, and He advised me to write back to her as I wished. I wrote back thanking her for her interest, asking some general questions about what she'd be looking for, and asserted I looked forward to speaking with her about possibly setting something up. 

Well now I feel like a bit of a jack ass, because a week and a half has passed, and she hasn't responded to my email.  She also hasn't read it.  Master asked me what was going on with it, and I felt dumb b/c she hasn't replied and we had a conversation about it. 

Is this some new scam I never heard of? LOL.   I tend to be pretty skeptical of online ppl in general, but I really don't see the point of it if it's a scam, you'd at least think she'd have read my reply!  Or am I just overreacting a bit and should I give it more time?

Well, since you chose to air this out here I am fairly certain you will soon feel like even more of a jack ass.

You chose poorly or they acted poorly. Who really gives a squirt?

I don't feel like a jack ass for asking, I mean no disrespect to anyone and I'm not flaming her or citing her name, I'm just genuinely trying to understand.

Shes sick/been busy

She has female subs bulked without realising

She decided against it

She is actually a man

Delete as appropriate.

I mean it has only been a week, you said she hasnt read it, life happens

I often don't do emails for that length of time. I can get many, many pages deep in emails and just not feel up to it. There are some I will answer much quicker... but of course I do lose people, buried deep in all those pages I end up avoiding because I don't want to face them all! lol

Some who know my lil patterns will send me a follow up... kind of like... did you bury me again? lol Good humored reminders, I do not mind! lol I do know it might hurt people's feelings sometimes, but it is just the way I am. I am escaping on the boards from my pain or something and I can pick and choose what I respond to. The emails, can be more evil to deal with. Friends... sometimes get lost between the evil one's I am avoiding.

I might slip her a short note and see if that helps.

She may have just been busy the last couple of weeks.

I dont always read messages on the day they are sent, and i'm here most days.

People can get very.... very.... very busy.

They also are subject to wishful thinking.

It is also possible that she found some one else.

I am sorry I was a tad bit abrupt and you do appear to be darn near bangable.

But if this happened in the real world what would you think or do? 

Whether in the business world or in our personal relationships not everyone acts in a manner that we feel they should... if it is business or personal you either say, "Fuck it! looks like they died or were not interested."

If for some reason you feel that they are worth a little more time and work you might still pursue them. It doesn't mean that the outcome will be any different.

Thank you for your genuine replies Ladies, that was exactly I wanted!  It was nice to think about the project, and I still would like to do it, but I don't want to be a pest.  I'll give it a bit more time and then casually drop her another note.  Again, I'm an amateur, so I usually don't work with ppl I don't already know.

...give it some time. I don't see the scam aspect...yet. You've not performed the task yet to be scammed.

I was kind of curious about that one as well.  Quite often, those of us who frequent the Mistress section see posts created that stay put which boil down to 'why didn't someone answer an email'.  I wonder if this is the new policy on the subject. 

Anyway, as to your original question, I think you already got some pretty good answers.  The person you exchanged notes with might see this site very much the way I do Fet.  I have an account there, but I really don't sign on to it very often.  It could be two or three weeks before I even bother to log on there.  It could be that she has the same policy for this site.

I've gotten such emails. They're mass emails they send out to everyone both male and female, dom, sub/slave and everyone in between. I tend to laugh and ignore them.
