Real0ne -> U.S. History - Getting Closer to Reality! (1/26/2010 8:19:58 PM)

Ok I did not take the time to listen to this whole documentary but the 1/3 of the way through I found myself in agreement with most of it.  (only a few points I would argue) and though they are pivotal points they are not pivotal to the extent that it dismisses the rest of it.

That said enjoy...this may change your whole outlook on america and especially american history and the school system.

Real0ne, that video is over an hour long, you must be kidding.

LOL

people spend years in school learning history!

From what I have heard of it, it hits the highlights with fairly good accuracy.

I felt that 200 years of history condensed to an hour frankly imo does not do the subject justice but at least gives people a basis and foundation to ask some very pointed questions about what we have been taught, and further research matters.

Its a fact that no matter how intelligent one is if you do not know the correct questions to ask you cannot get a clear understanding and hence it cause people to continually shoot at the wrong targets when trying to correct any problem.

I can't speak for MzMia - but I'm going to try anyway.

I think what she is saying is that she doesn't want to spend a whole hour of her life (not an insignificant amount of time when you consider how short life is) listening to your looney-tune conspiricy theories.

Can you give us the short answer?

Who is it that is to blame for everything? The Rothchilds? The Ilumminati?

I haven't watched the vid, or even clicked the link. What strikes me is the logic at work here.
Most of us assume a common base of information; we read and trust textbooks in high school and collge, we read and trust scholarly works that are peer reviewed and agreed upon by a consensus.
This never guarantees a correct and clear picture of course- history is constantly being challenged, argued, and re-written.

Now there is this tendency to distrust any official record, any recognized version of history; instead, RealOne, you have placed your faith and trust in this video that you found on Youtube.

A video by LYNDON FUCKING LAROUCHE.

RealOne, do you know anything about this man? Do you have any idea of his history, his ideas, his credibility and credentials to give a clear and correct history of the United States?

What caused you to place such great faith in this man as opposed to say, David McCullogh the noted historian, or the Time-Life 8 volume American History series advertised on TV, or hell, Joe the wino who spends the day talking on his broken cell phone outside the corner liquor store?

Why? What did Larouche do to earn this trust? Or does his story somehow just have the ring of truth for you?

I am not being snarky here- I really am fascinated why and how this fringe candidate who has been the butt of jokes since I first saw him on tv in 1979, has become in your mind the authoritative voice of history.

Dude, if you didn't even get through the whole thing yourself - maybe posting it and telling others to watch it isn't the best move.

Aside from "this is cool", what point are you trying to make?

Thank you all for a few chuckles before I go to bed.

Come on. You're just upset because Lyndon LaRouche said that "sexual impotency is generally the causal root of Left political impotency". Just overlook his jail time and associations with such worthies as communists and KKK leaders, the violence and the brain-washing sessions he sponsored - those are all just plots by his enemies to discredit him! The man has figured it all out! He's tapped in! Free your mind and embrace the truth!

(Or, y'know ... maybe ol' LL there is just a total wacknut. You never know. [;)])

I thought it was obvious when I said what they say is reasonably close to the version of history I understand.

How do I understand history?  Sort of like this.

I take what is claimed and measure it against observable results.

I have no need for stacked deck peer review.

I recognise fully when my knowledge is dependent to independent and to what extent.

You have made an error in your assumption that I base my knowledge from this documentary when in fact I can significantly add to it.  What I heard is nothing new in fact it bored me and all I did is pick at it and split hairs on some points they made.  However from reading much of what is talked about on the board in these poli threads I am sure that many of you have never heard any of this.

No one will ever win a battle with see he/she said so "peer review" and any other form of dependent opinion forming process with the exception to the presentation o f raw data.

Long story short if I knew in the 90's what I know now like many others at the top rungs, I too would have been able to predict with reasonable certainty 911.   Easy to predict the next one.  (oh and dont bother asking how, I wont give out information beyond mentioning it because this crowd frankly could not handle it and there are no court decisions *dependency* to PROVE it for the proofers so it would be a complete waste of time)  LMAO

Okay. Predict it. Don't explain how you figured it out, if that's privileged information. Just say what and when and where.

When it happens just like you said, I guarantee you, I'll be clicking your hour-long links and watching them to see what I've been missing out on.
