wow allot have to do with numbers I guess the old counting sheep thing grew up *smiles*

one that I use is based on a Chinese story involving grains of rice on a chess board on the first square I imagine 1 and the 2nd 2 on the 3rd 4 and so on trying to make it as far across the board as possible it dose not always work some times I get too far and get stuck lol

That would NOT work for me.  Being the computer geek I am, I memorized the powers of two a long time ago....

kyuketsuki1977, did you try Mom G's method..... you could try writing the powers of two on the blackboard..... 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, .... clunk!

Edited for puncuation (oh, all right, I did get one of the powers wrong.... LOL!)

I used to suffer terribly from insomnia, but now it's extremely rare for me to take more than 10 minutes to fall asleep. And usually it's not much more than 5. I just blank my mind out completely, throwing away random thoughts one by one until there are none left, and then I just think of flying - swooping, diving, soaring, feeling the cool damp of the clouds on my face, smelling the crisp, clean air, feeling the weightlessness and the complete detachment from any physical constraints, and then.... the next thing I know, I'm thinking of something else entirely, and I realize it's because I'm dreaming.
