Ive got a few thoughts on this thinking about my dealings with men:

I think its part of masculinity to want to conquer and own. Its ok to conquer lots of things but what they want to "own" has to be prized to be of value, something that hasnt had much use becomes a precious rare gem, why do you think so many men love the idea of posessing a virgin?

However men also value something that is of good use, they are very mechanically minded that way. They could see something as precious to own that has done the mileage and become better from the experience., kinda like a car that has been run in, it works better.

The way the make-up of men work is going to be directly reflected on how women think they can be attractive to a man.

The answer is simple. It is a primal instinct in man. If man evolved from Primates then his instincts is to care for his group, family, friends, etc.

It is not something that just one day appears, we are taught that a man is tough and rough and strong and smart, etc. However, all men have it in their gene as do women.

As to the fact of a man believing that a woman can be a lady if she has had several affairs. Let's face it the statement itselfs tell it all. Sluts are those who have been taken early and by so many, and so on. Think about it.

perhaps in the vanilla sense of things, yes this is a schema that will no doubt stay that way.

in the Gorean culture, a 'slut' belongs to her Master and may not necessarily used by anyone other than him.
i have never had a Master share me with other men but i am always a beast with Master.Master brings out the slut in me.
i find the word slut to be a term of endearment in my world.
it means Master finds pleasure and value in me.

i find that there is nothing wrong with multiple partners as long as i am not in a committed relationship.

once in a committed relationship then i expect the same from him .... that we define the parameters of what the means to both of use and from there we dont cheat on each other. if that means that we have sex with others, fine so long as it is mutual. if we have sex with others in front of each other or choose to bring another into the relationship, fine ... so long as it is mutual.

i have always been a very highly sexed woman and i have never been ashamed of that. i dont kiss and tell. i dont count how many i have been with. lets just say a few .....

i expect to hold the man to the same standards that i am held to. your word given is your bond. everything between the two is mutual and honorable. when it becomes cheating then it is wrong.

Take heed shy girl. I don't hear the word player much anymore when it comes to promiscuous men. They are now called sluts.
I even approached one of my brothers (lovingly, of course) and
advised him to quit being so slutty. He knew EXACTLY what I was telling him.
Course i got that Irish Catholic You're Goin to Hell look goin on when I call my brothers on their indiscretions, ha-ha....

Sir Level i dont belive that i was ever deceitful with Kiledar at all ( but then again my mind is not what it use to be

i belive that slut can be a term that One uses to show feelings towards thier girl/boy. but when the word is used to be hurtful or just plain mean then there is something wrong with it IMO.

as for why is a girl called a slut if she has had or has more then one parnter while a guy is called a player. i think is how people look at life, growing up most are raised that a girl is to be the one that stays home and cooks and cleans and takes care of the household while the man went out and brought home the money. but heaven forbid that she wanted to makesome thing out of herself then a housewife.Now a days that role is not so clear any more more and more men are staying home to do house cleaning and cookign ect. ect.
the one thoguththat keeps running throught my mind when i think about this thread is the old saying " boys will be boys" well what so wrong with "girls will be girls? and they have multiable parnters?"

I am trying hard to remember your first post. I think you said "This was my idea...not Master's idea" But he indulged you? He let you run with it and now you can't carry it?

I really do have some sympathy...but it only goes so far! What I hear is a "slut"...and that is not bad at all to me....but to try now try to put it on someone else...speaks volumes to me.

oh I think everyone has seen my bad spelling and word placement so I would not even too spelll your name I did not want to mess it up i left the last part of:) Now that said: your so right as along as it is someone who owns them it is ok to be a slut. But chilly you wrote cocksmen is a form of having many women by men? I thought it was an adult moive studio! Also maybe I need to read more sexual matrials because honey is what a bee makes, I am confused. I really thought this about that word i mean no insult at all. thank you for the knowledge!

I agree with this statement. Most women are better at discretion when they have
multiple partners. Most men feel the need to broadcast their conquests to anyone who will listen.

Would you please elaborate on the Darwinian musings amayos?
Is it simply a matter of fancy feathers and chest thumping antics?

May I say that the statement was just made to leviate some tension in a serious thread. I do know that many men can and do find one woman and stay with her, without playing around.
Now, for most men, and again, I"m not saying all, before they find that one, they play the field and no one thinks badly of them for that. Where as women from my generation, were taught, as someone here has mentioned, that men won't buy the cow if they get the milk for free. We were taught as a society, that good girls didn't. I think society is changing, that isn't the same any more. I know I never taught my daughter that it was wrong to learn and explore her sexual nature. I just think it's a shame it took me so long to realize that sex is not a bad thing. (Yeah, I'm one of those catholic girls, or rather was when I believed.) I'm in my mid forties and I'm just now exploring my sexual desires with any serious intent.

Actually, what I find most often is that it is our peers who find it obscene that a woman should have multiple sex partners. Other men (especially those not included, but also those who are-sometimes), other women (particularly our mothers, sisters, grandmothers, nosey neighbors), co-workers, friends...usually anyone who doesn't not have a somewhat informed view of polyamory believe that it is wrong for a woman to "take a walk around the block". The view of a slutty woman is traditionally coupled with the seductress or the whore, while the slutty man (which, I have been told, does not actually exist) is coupled with the virile stud, spreading his seed and being congratulated at the bar by all his buddies.

It is traditionally considered that the male, as the "dominant" (that is, in literature and art, not in life) is permitted to get as many of his offspring pushed into the world, while the female, as the "submissive" (again, in literature and art, not in life), must simply lie back and take it. After all, how is a woman to be premiscuous(sp?) if she is constantly barefoot and pregnant?

The term "slut" seems to have been taken back by many modern women, particularly those of a more open-minded stance, to represent the woman who desires and asks for sex and pleasures of a sexual nature. This new view does not carry the abhorrent undertone that it once did (at least, in sex-positive circles), and leaves women to be accepted as sexually provocative members of society.

Sadly, in most of America, sex still seems to be good for men and baaaaaaad for women.

To put it in simple animal terms, the female—though arguably endowed with the same instinctual directive to reproduce—has always faced reproductive disaster if she chooses unwisely. She has developed social methods of shunning unwanted male attention and advances in favor of those males she desires. I find people often make the mistake of labeling her as virtuous or even "prudish", when in fact she's simply being selective in what she wants.

Surround her in private with males she finds physically and behaviorally pleasing, and you will see her bristle with desire that matches that of the male's. Laying back and watching them compete for her access is something she wouldn't necessarily be unwilling to do.

I, personally find nothing wrong with having multiple partners, but as has been said by many (if not most) I AM a guy... I think it actually goes back to midieval times-where ladies were prized as such and never allowed off their 'leashes' so to speak.
